Backspacing Question

I know this isn't the necessarily the right forum, but I wanted to get the greatest exposure. I found a set of wheels, but I am not 100% certain they will fit. They are 17x8, 5 x 4.50 or 5 x 114.3, +45 offset. I know all these are good, but the thing I am worried about is the backspacing, which is 6.22" and I am not sure what the MS3 needs. Below is a link to the wheels on tirerack.

Enkei Racing RPF1 Black Painted

Please advise if these will fit or not. Thanks.

if you want 17's its a step down but the backspacing is too much by .12 of an inch they make them for our car but you have to follw the fitment guide on the tire rack website.

Damn, so these won't fit? That's too bad because I found a damn good deal on a used set. Bummer....

they will fit but the link you have is for a set of 17's. and the linked ones are for rwd. hence the extra spacing in the rear. you might rub a little in the back if not stock height.

I am quite aware of them being 17's, 17x8 is actually what I have have been looking for. Lighter, wider, and taller sidewall for better ride quality.

I am slightly confused on how the backspacing affects the fitment. I know +45 offset will fit fine, as I have +42 17's that I run during the winter. Trying to get an understanding of this, but I haven't found anything that is helping my knowledge of this.

Any help would be appreciated.

So I searched for wheels for a Mazdaspeed3 on tirerack, and it brought up results with 6.10" and 6.33", so my intuition says that means a 6.22" would fit. Although, I am sure that there is something more to it than this.

Anyone else have any input?
