Buying rims/tires & your help is needed!

Bare with me guys. My project will be done by the end of the week, two weeks the latest. At this point the weakest link on my car are the stock rims/tires so I'm in the market of buying some aftermarket rims. I lack knowledge in this area so I need your help!!!

Does anyone know what is the widest rim/tire combo you can run without any rubbing? If I have roll my fenders; that will be no problem. Here's the problem though; I don't want to run the widest rims/tires as I want to drop my car buy at least an 1.5 inches (BC racing coilovers)

So, I guess the questions is: does anyone know what is the widest/rim size you can run on a speed3 that is dropped at least 1.5 inches without any issues, i.e rubbing, etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated it.

So far, here are my pics:

Gram Lights 57Optimise gray or white painted (undecided on the color) but I know for a fact I will be buying the Nitto's NT55 tires.

My number once choice were the Volk's RE30 because they are forged and weight at 15 some pounds for 18's. However, I don't want to fish out that much money on rims just yet. So, I figured since the gram lights (ugh, they weight much more and even though they aren't forged) but still made my ray's I will be satisfied with them.

So, I would like to know if I go with those rims here are the specs from tirerack on the gramlights:

Offset: 48mm Backspacing: 6.10"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size: 215/45-18
Weight: 19.0lbs.

Would I be fine with tire size at 235 or even 245? Even when I would drop my car in about a month or so?

Any help would be greatly appreciated it!
Thanks,
Sebastian

I have to give them a call for that to find out since they didn't say....but regardless what's the widest that I would be able to run?

Sorry for these noob questions.

Are you going for light weight wheels? because if you are i was looking at a pair myself motegi makes them there 18lbs a piece and not pricey.

You need to give us the width of the rim, so we can tell you what the widest tire you can run on it is.

It's white. I recently painted my stock wheels white and I fell in love with the look.

Yeah, I'm looking for the lightest I can get which at this point are the Volk RE30 forged.

Yeah, I'll give them a call later today if I have the time and post back here with the width.

Fuck me, looks like I'm shit out of luck as tire rack has only two Gram lights left.... and will not be getting them since they have been discontinued.

Well, regardless the width for those is 18.7.5

I'll see if I could find some of a member selling them.

Regardless of the rims that I chose what's the widest I could go with these sizes:

a) 18.7
b) 18.7.5
c) 18.8

Thanks guys
