Dented rims... w/ pics 2 Attachment(s) Just got an MS6 from a dealer. Two of the winter rims came with small dents... Since I have the undamaged stock tires/rims as well, hard to complain much. Haven't felt any unusual vibration coming from these two (rear wheels), but then again I've only had the car a week. Just wondering if these dents are going to cause me any problems, and if there's anything I can do about it (short of buying new rims). Also curious how much people inflate their winter tires. I know guideline is 38psi, possibly +4psi for winters. However the tires have a stated max of 44psi. Dealer pumped them to 32psi, and that seems low to me. Any advice appreciated! Thanks! That's not really bad on first look. Unless you feel the wheel vibrating at higher speeds, you should be ok. That's also not a hard fix if you take it to someone who knows what they are doing. |
I hit a pothole in my old car and it bent a rim. Called this company that travels to fix wheels. Guy met me in a parking lot and fixed it in like 20 minutes. Best move you can make. But as stated above unless you start feeling bad vibrations I don't see any problems with it. |
Shame on you for buying it like that. |
If they hold air and don't vibrate you're good to go. |
Yeah, driving fine so far. We'll see what happens when I eventually have to rotate them to the front... @predapio I am definitely ashamed. Didn't notice until I went to get the car inspected. Guy took one look and pointed them out. Now I see them every time I look at the car... Thanks for the help. Any suggestions on inflation pressure? |
