picked up a set for 150 with tires. although 1 was corded and the other one had a nail in it. some minor curb rash but no big deal. they came shitty black so on with the acetone/scrubbing. got 2 of em real clean, then hit it with some fine grit sand paper. primer'd then coating with some valspar white gloss. after i get a couple layers im letting it dry over night. then tomorrow ima hit it with some rubbing compound then finish with couple layers of clear coat.

looks good but im high as shit right now.. soooo....

$150...thats cheap as balls!

Should have taken the valvestems out. Just cut them out, new ones are like $.75 each. Also, why no paint inside? I fucking did the ENTIRE wheel inside, outside, and even under the tires lol.

Disagree... Shit man, stock gen2 wheels are 7.5" and come with 225 from the factory. Most of us run a 235 on that same wheel.

WELL. I'M RUNNING DRAG RADIALS AND THAT'S THE SIZE THEY COME IN. THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE A "MUFFIN TOP" THEY SIT PRETTY FLUSH WITH THE WHEEL. THE REAR TIRES ARE MY OLD TIRES.

I GOT THESE WHEELS FOR 3 REASONS. 1) THEY WERE CHEAP. 2) I COULD FIT A DECENT TIRE ON THERE WITHOUT MODIFYING ANYTHING OR USE WHEEL SPACERS. 3) TIRES ARE CHEAPER FOR A 17" WHEEL.

HAVE FUN PAYING $200+ PER TIRE FOR YOUR 20" WHEELS

I'm running 235/40 on my rx8s fits perfect! Nice find for 150, got mine for 200 and thought was a great deal.

I run 225/40R18's on my RX-8.
Painted them myself as well, had to sadly wetsand the clearcoat to get all the orange peel off.
Make sure to let the paint cure at least 24 hours before layering the clear.
