Funny TPMS behavior

I run without TPMS. The light is on all the time. I've noticed when I driving along with my wife in her 07 CX7, cruising along with some other Mazdas (RX8s, Genpus, etc) that my low tire light goes off. Every single time within a minute. I can be a few car lengths ahead or behind but as long as I am that close the light will stay off.

Anybody notice this too?

That is pretty funny. But the signals are sent electronically, so it makes sense.

I wouldn't think the TPMS could register to multiple vehicles?

But if it's just as simple as spinning up to a certain speed, and any receiver is allowed to register it, then I guess it's possible?

I have RX-8 sensors in my Tenzo wheels. They are not car specific.

Right, I knew that. I guess what I'm saying is the TPMS ability to register to multiple vehicles simultaneously. Because his scenario is describing as if the car in front of him and his car are both registering the same TPMS.

I know this isn't a random occurance. It happens everytime I am cruising along side another Mazda with TPMS.

Now how can we use this to our advantage?
