Default 4 General Tire Exclaim UHP 225/40/18 $454 mounted and balanced

Based on the research I've done and the ratings at tirerack.com, it's a pretty good UHP summer tire. At walmart.com they're $126 a piece new, which includes free shipping with site to store, which also includes free balancing and mounting. If you buy them before June 6th, you can get a $50 Visa gift card. http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...General_TR.pdf That's from tirerack.com, but no where on the form does it say they have to be bought through tirerack.com. Also, if you go through Coupons, Promo Codes and Cash Back Savings - Ebates.com, you can get an additional 2% off. I work at walmart so I get 10% anything bought online.

SO...
4x$126=$504
-2% off=$493.20
-$50 GC=$443.20

For me I could get them for $393.99 installed. Pretty good deal I think.

Pretty good deal but they are not a good permformance tire imo...

I currently have these on my 99 nissan maxima and the sidewalls feel really soft. This is good for a compliant ride while
going in a straight line but they roll like a fat bitch going around corners. Really noticable compared to what I had before.

Granted I have 215/55-16 so its a much taller sidewall so i guess the lower profile should be stiffer??? ,
but I still wouldn't recommend them and I know I'll never buy them again.

I've been happy with these as my summer tire. Don't know if you noticed but they are a significantly lighter tire than most in the same size (For me, 225/40R18 on RX-8 wheels (44 lbs) were 7 lbs lighter per corner than Kumho Exsta ASX of the same size on MS6 stockers (51 lbs); the wheels are about 3 or 4 lbs lighter, so that makes the tires 3 or 4 lbs lighter as well).

i had these for a bit. as stated above, they have a somewhat softer sidewall, so they aren't super crisp in the turns. however, for the price they are great, and they stick fine, they just feel a tad soft..

I had these on my MS6 for the first 18 months I owned it, and they're pretty good summer tires. Sticky as hell, but also noisy. I didn't notice the soft sidewall thing mentioned above.

Overall, I paid $420 mounted and balanced for my Marangonis off tireseasy.com using FIrestone, and I like them a little better.

I've been running them on 235/40/18 for 2 summers and they're more all season rather than summer as listed on most websites except tirerack. They're definitely not that sticky and the sidewall is pretty soft, however they perform pretty well on rainy days and are good for their price, the tread life(380 I think) and lightweight are also very ttractive. But I'd go with Hankook Evo12 when mines are done though.
