good tires? i need to know what some good tires would be for me. since im bt i tend to burn through tires quickly. so i need a tire that will hold traction and have decent tread life. thanks. |
Don't know if they're right for you but they're cost effective. http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...ok-v12s-83753/ |
+1 on the V12's. I've done a lot of hard driving on them in the canyons and they are a really great tire. |
Nitto NT05s. Traction u need for only $600 for four tires compared to $800+ for grip on par with tires such as Star Specs, Kuhmo Ecsta XS', and Yokohama AD08's. |
I purchased a set of Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500's a couple of days ago based on a few reviews I've read on Mazda sites as well as reviews from other sites. I was down to those and the V12's but was able to get $100 in gift cards (50 from Firestone b/c of the tires, 50 from the store b/c it was a brand new location) on the Firestones so went in that direction. |
I would go +1 for Nitto. I tried the Hankooks and they are not confidence inspiring on tights corners or fast starts. Lots of wheel chirp after 10k miles. |
Michelin Pilot Super Sport gets lots of praise and I have not seen a bad review to my knowledge. |
Yea, I wouldn't get the Hankook's. They are decent tires for the price, but you're BT. You're gonna want something a little more stickier and proven than the v12's. EDIT- OP is parting out his BT...woops |
When I replace my stockers ill likely go with Continental extreme dw's for summer use. I have michelins mxv4's on my winter set up. |
I love the Michelin PSS as I put more miles on them. I wrote a long review then deleted it. Just read up on what everyone says because its true. Only thing I can't comment on is tread wear and long term impressions. Only drawback is price. But so far, absolutely worth it. |
