Default Hankook $60 Rebate on V12's is back.

I've been waiting for the rebate to re-appear for a while now, going to buy another set for my stock wheels as a DD setup. Not the best tire out there but for the price they can't be beat. Will cost me $476 shipped after rebate for a set. I have a set of RE-11's on FD wheels for my fun setup so this will serve as my DD set so I don't burn thru the RE-11's going back and forth to work.

I have found that onlinetires.com has the best price on these. Just a heads up if you're in the need for new tires.

This shit always happens to me. I just bought these tires on the 31st, one day before the rebate became valid.

Not very strong tires. I just replaced a second one for sidewall bubbles.

Just bought 2 more V12s last week at Pep Boys. Can I still get the rebate somehow with my receipt? I like these tires a lot, but I too had a bubble in one fwiw.

God damn it, this would have been great to know 3 weeks ago before I purchased my set!

Just ordered a set of these through Pep Boys. They wound up price matching Tire Rack at $118 each for 215-45-18 (PB wanted $155 each). Plus, I'm going to get the 4th one free. Of course I had to get Pep Boy's installation package which costs $149 for mounting, balancing, TPMS seal kit, and some sort of bullshit tire warranty, but when all is said and done, I'll get 4 of these installed for $550 out the door. I could have gone with Tire Rack, but by the time I'd pay for shipping, 4 tires would be about $530 without installation, which usually runs another $20-25 per tire.

EDIT: Finally got them installed. So far so good. They're quiet and seem to have decent grip although I haven't pushed them. I wound up getting an additional 10% off for a military discount after sweet talking the cute cashier chic when I brought the invoice up front to pay. They also put "$155" on my rebate form instead of the price matched price and it shows the retail price on the receipt as well, so I'm hoping they give me $155 back on the rebate. That would be sweet. If that happens, I'll get 4 of these installed for less than $450.

Now that someone else bumped the thread...

The company that gives the rebates tried to freakin' deny my rebate because I didn't put the offer number on the sheet. I triple check everything I send in so I know I did it right. I emailed Hankook directly and the nice lady at customer service took care of it for me!

Got my card about 2 weeks ago.

Probably the reason of the discount.....

I thing I'll still run the stocker on the genpu and look around for the Ventus RS3. For track and autox.

My genpu have 3000 miles on the stocker and right now, I thing I'll just be waste of my precious $$$$$.

It hurt's to let this sale go, but In my case it's the right thing to do.

I'm still shopping around for R-Compound tires.

Did you guys saw the prices?

Hankook Ventus R-S3, 245/40ZR18 164.00 (each)

KUMHO Ecsta XS KU36 93W BSW, 245/40-18 $180.75/each

NITTO NT05 97W BW, 245/40-18/ $153.90/each

Falken Azenis RT-615K Tires 245/40/18 97Z Blk $200/each

Dunlop Sp Sport 600 BSW Tires 245/40/18 93Z BSW $220/each

Wooh, they are really pricy the r-compounds one. Is that what you guys are paying for your tires?

215/45ZR -18"

I paid 472.00 Before Shipping, after the $60 instant rebate.

Mounted on EDR9's with the TPMS at my door in 3 days for less than $1600.

Not bad!

Hey guys,

I'm thinking to order those just to save the rebate and keep them at home, where is not too warm.

I'm looking just to save this deal and get a set in the garage. Is this OK to keep those tires unmounted on the wheels?

Just wanted to inform folks that on July 1st or 2nd they are offering $100 any set of 4 tires and it cannot stack with the 60 from Hankook, but it allows you to save more AND choose different tyres. I heard it here in MI so I'm not 100% it's nationwide, but I hope so.

Thnx!

Hopefully it's true.

I'll probably get a set of the R-S3. Will this be on onlinetires.com?

He man,

any heads up on the $100 deal? Could you confirm they are running this promotion?

Thanks for letting us know.

Yeah, they are a little mushy, but the compound seems to stick like glue once the tire sets in. For autocrossing and track use, I would definitely spend my money elsewhere, but for street use and a lot of freeway driving, which is what I'm using them for, they're quiet, smooth and have more than enough grip for occasional spirited driving. I drive 22k+ miles a year. I'm on my third set of tires in 3 years with this car and it's getting a little expensive. I don't feel like spending $800 on tires every year. They seem to be good in the rain too for now. If I were to change anything though, I would add a bit more steel in the sidewalls.

No, that's why I went with the Hancooks. I actually got mine for less than that. $118 each from Pepboys, price matched to Tire Rack. Installation was $150 with certs on all 4. Got 10% off the top of that with a military discount (I sweet talked the cashier chic into that) and then at the time, they were doing buy 3 tires, get the 4th for free, so I wound up getting $118 rebate off one of them. $481 in the end.

I just got a set of Bridgestones to replace these. I have 20700 on the hankooks and they shoulda really been replaced about 2-3k miles ago. Front drivers side is bubbled in a couple spots and the tread is worn completely through. I didn't drive the car hard and had them rotated/aligned after 10k miles. I'm done with cheap korean junk. Got 30k out of the stock tires and they were in decent shape other than being bald.

Why are you here?

EDIT:
I came back and edited to elaborate. This is a performance and enthusiast website. How did you NOT abuse the car? I got 15kish out of the stock tires.
