Have you checked the wheel fitment guide in the Knowledgebase? |

Ive got 18x9.5 +38, it took a roll in the back to make em fit good BUT I also needed coilovers to make em fit because they would not clear the stock strut and spring. This is on a gen 2 and if Im not mistaken we have the largest clearence out of the 3 models so you would atleast need to do this. |
Three posts and nobody is pointing out the FLOWER side mirrors and running boards? And the stickers (including a band-aid)? And the chrome gas cap? TIS |
That stupid shit made me almost not even want to post at all. |
because racecar? |
HOLLY SHYT I DIDNT EVEN SEE THAT!!!! |

OP, Dude, why? What kind of driving do you plan on doing? Or Just styling/fitment? My first aftermarket wheels were Rota P1s 18 x 8 w/ 225 40 18. On that setup the wheels & tires were just about flush with the body. Handling was improved over stock. |

The white decals and the sideskirt sticker bomb are too much for my taste but to each to their own. OP I would go for the 18.9.5 et38. et20 is just ridiculously low and will require major fender work. Definitely need a roll but you'll need a pull as well. Seen ms6's with 18x9 et35 that needed pulled fenders and you're set up would be more aggressive. 235's would be stretched on a 9.5in wide wheel but you might be okay. I think 225's is too much of a stretch but that's me. Good luck |

So u think i put the et38 on still need a pull? |

If you're appearance-focused in your modding, there's another Mazda forum out there (Mazda247) that will welcome you with open arms. We're performance-focused here, and this kind of ricer crap will not fly. You will get mocked, flamed, and embarassed. I love that these douchebags always come around on Fridays. Makes the week end on a nice note. @Sid3wayS; do you regret giving legit input yet? TIS |

Sheesh, why is it that 90% of the butthurt is claimed by no-avatar, brownies... OP, you posted the stupid pics of your car online. It is going to get mentioned, because you did not search, nor read the welcome PM. |

I don't know if I got lucky with my "New Member Thread" but I read it the other day and was surprised how welcoming everyone was. I got offended at one comment and was shown the way very quickly. TIS |
Mister Zheng, the OP. I will be brutally honest here. You did not search here, nor on the 6 forum, where the 1st reply was also "search". I gotta ask, why Rotas, when 5Zigen is sponsoring you? https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...89460749_o.jpg |
Sponsored by Rays too. |
Sparco, momo, alpine, greddy? What did you do just buy a bunch of stickers from the fast and furious isle at vatozone? |
You just have just asked the questions and not put in a picture of your car. Things would have gone a little smoother for you. |
I dont think you are looking for 18x9.5 for their performace aspects. go 17x9 RPF1s if you want performance I have to ask. How much are you spending to make your car look like a 13 year olds dream? Whats the going rate on giant anime stickers? |
I'd guessing he's going a cheaper wheel route. Although the price difference between the 17x9 rpf1's and 18x9.5 rota grids isn't that big haha. For the 18x9.5 et38 you'll need a pull most likely. Honestly though if you want a set up that's a a few hundred bucks more and is a performance set up would be 17x9 et45 enkei rpf1's. |
Besides the obviously fact that he is a brownie, I just want to make it very clear that davincent is in no way affiliated with NATOR MI. LOL |
Regret nothing. I gave a legit answer for a question. Now do I agree or even see the point of view for it... not all all. I think the whole sticker bomb thing is rather childish, I did it to my skateboard when I was like 14 and thought I was the best thing since Tony Hawk. To each his own as long as they are trying to do things the right way and not rigging it up to work atleast you are making the effort. Now getting butthurt over getting made fun of the look of your car, especially on a performance based site, well thats just plain stupid. |
First, as stated, read the other threads and search. I have searched for aftermarket wheels. I can find many that will fit. However, almost all weigh as much or more than stock. If goal is performance as you mentioned, then lighter would be better. If goal is looks, as you also mentioned, then it doesn't matter. I'm not sure the MS6 will like the heaver wheels though. Second, as stated, this is a performance site. While most have some appearance mods, e.g. tint, new tails, lips, etc., that is not the focus. As my signature indicates, I have several appearance mods but also many performance ones. The MS6 desires to go fast. Adding stickers and all over vinyls is not a way to get good feedback on this site or for us to be nice to you. Again, refer back to the first point (search). Third, The wheels you mentioned first will not fit. There is not a lot of room inside the fenders without some significant changes. Since you have H&R, you likely dropped about 2 inches from stock height (I did). I run stock rims with 225x40. It is a nice look with a greater handling stability. A little off on speedo but not much. If I get aftermarket, they will be no larger than 8" as opposed to the 7" for stock. Get new tires the height and size I mentioned. You could fit larger ones in but that is specific per tire brand you will be running and size (and offset) of rim. Again, if performance, do not do anything crazy. Take this sticker bomb and itasha and do it to your 240. It'll look better and match the car. Fourth, learn some clear English. If you cannot post exactly what you want and be clear about it others will not respond. Some of us are lazy and will not read the entire thread. Fifth, if you are to state you are from Michigan, then you must get it together. @LynzeC; and @jomc111; are the leaders of our NATOR group (West and East respectively). This foolishness is not acceptable here. While a few have stickers (it is done tastefully). You have taken a performance sedan and desecrated it. Much less made it much more obvious for LEOs to find you. How many sticker bombed MS6 are there? Too easily identifiable so likely for a ticket. You already have illegal tint; another ticket. Don't make it easy for LEOs. |
LOLOL OK so this thread is sticker bombed by the OP. Which errr... whatevs. I like anime and itasha but I like performance more. IF I were to go with a giant vinyl on my car it would be something I created like my avatar. Just sayin' but I choose to spend my $$ on performance parts. My windows aren't even tinted cause this mod shit is expensive. I wondered about those wheels as performance oriented but I didn't want to come off like a snob as I mentioned my first wheels (not rims) were 20lb Rota P1s. OK back to work to make money for my addiction. Track days are coming... Live long and prosper. |

http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/images/styles/mazda/editor/color.gif Jesus, tittyfucking, Christ. WTF dude? Your car looks like ass. You don't understand what "performance" means. You clearly have no mechanical sympathy or sense, and your grammar is atrocious. Of these issues, I've (partially) fixed the only thing I can. I'm going to be back in Michigan in the next few weeks, and I'm sorry to hear that you've taken one of the few surviving Michigan MS6s and turned it into such a hideous piece of shit. It's people like you give Mazda owners a bad name. Go find some of your kin over at M247 and get that shit out of here. Quote:
