looking for some AGGRESSIVE fitment =)

hey guys i officially stored my Liquid Platinum 2006 mazdaspeed 6 for winter last week and im already looking for wheels to buy for spring. im looking for a very aggressive fitment, im looking into 18 x 9.5's right now. im planning on lowering the car as well, and i have no problems with rolling my fenders or having to drive with camber and im going to stretch tire regardless. i just want some ideas on what would look good on our cars, as well as some colours that would match my car. i also want to know what my offset i can get, ive been hearing different things so im just confused on that topic. some have been telling me to keep it between 25-35 while i saw one member with 19x9.5 +45 with no rubbing problems.

You do realize the lower the offset the more it will poke out past the fender? Not higher offset like you posted. But youre better off searching this on mazdafitment.com, people around here are about power not herrafrushness.

Subbing to see how this turns out............

mazdafitment was the first place i went to and from there they told me to keep it between 25-35 which made no sence. i then went to mazda247 and somebody posted that he has 19x9.5 +45 with a light fender roll and he had no rubbing issues. i just wanted to see what people opinion was here.

It makes perfect sense they are about more poke which is why they told you a lower offset.

if a +45 offset sits flush with the fender i dont think ANYBODY would want to put a +25 on. i use to have a vw so i know about stretch and poke and on my old car i had high offset and the wheel would sit flush with my fender as well. i just wanted to see if there would be any problems with the rim hitting the control arm or strut with a high offset on a wheel that wide

I would recommend doing wheel fitments research on other forums. This isnt a herrafrush forum. Rear camber is a no no.

If it doesn't improve performance it has no place here. Aggressive fitment, stretched tires, and camber harm performance so its a no go.

Fair warning has been given.

I used to have a VW too and know plenty about offset. I was running 16x9 +20, with the right fender pull, camber, and tire size you could run what the people on MF say, they all run it.

Anyways this thread is done. Go look elsewhere.

fender pull is a huge no-no for me, thanks anyways though

Sounds fucking gay.

Mazdas247.com is better able to help ruin your car, handling, performance, resale. They have threads for herrafrush retarded stretched tires. However, if you decide not to go that route, we can help you in the right direction for performance and drivability.

My suggestion, sell your mazdaspeed, go get a vw golf or something. Don't ruin a perfect performance vehicle.

You do realize you bought an awd turbo charged car right? And all the money you spent on it is being wasted as not using what it has to offer to its potential right ?

Rich-PMS 11-17-2011 12:44 AM

A 9.5"wide wheel with +45 will be almost as flush as a 8.5" wide wheel with +35 offset

I think, it's too late to do real math right now

Tokay444 11-17-2011 04:06 AM

Yep, only math that belongs in this thread is good ol' ricer math niggas!
Hellafaggotry+stretch Armstrong side walls+ride on the bumpstops drop= exactly over 9000 (hp)

I ruined a perfect performance vehicle. Myy car was still plenty fast. Just looked better doing it.

19x9.5 +25 with 225/35 here. Look up pics of my car. There's plenty of them. Slammed on BCs. It took a lot of work to get it to fit right and look good. +45 even in 9.5"w isn't that aggressive. It would just allow you to run a stretched tire easier. May as well get 8.5" lower offset and save yourself money on wheels and you can run dirt cheap 205/40 tires if you really want stretch. IIRC the guy running 9.5" +45 had to run a spacer because the inside rim was too close to the strut. And you're gonna need to pull your fenders some whether you like it or not. Not the goofy flared shit, but you will need more fender space if you plan to run slammed too (which it will look fucking retarded running that wide with stretch and not tucking tire).

That being said I'll probably be running lighter 17x9 +35 RPF1s with 255/40 after the build.
