Lug Nut Question for the Forged Mazdaspeed Wheel

http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMG_0207.jpg

I just picked a set of 4 used Mazdaspeed Lightweight forged wheels from MiltwonSHO. Unfortunately, they didn't come with lug nuts. I know if you buy a brand new set they come included.

Does anyone know what type of lug nuts will work with these set of wheels? Tuner type skinny? Conical (bulge) or Acorn? I think conical, right?

I know the size 12mm x 1.50. Should I use the OE lugs? I, currently, have on my MS6, Kazeras which use a taper/shank (I thnk and probably don't work)

I was thinking of getting black chrome lugs. I painted my calibers red but not else on the exterior is red.

Is it worth it to get Gorrilla? Muteki? Any other brands worth looking at (but not too expensive)? I am interested in splined or heptogonal(sp?)

I'm planning for the new wheels next year so I am gathering everything up. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used Mcgard spline drives on the set I had.

PS: If you look at the lug area it's apparent that OE lugs are not to be used. When the wheels are bought new they come with their own lugs.

Thanks. I realized from various reading that lugs come with new wheels and OE shouldn't be used. I wasn't sure since these are Mazdaspeed wheels that they might be spec'd for OE application. But they are Rays wheel so I was looking conical bulge 12mm x 1.5 closed spline drive black chrome or started thinking about red. I haven't made up my mind and welcomed opinions.

I take it you are hapy with McGards? Thanks again.

Those are the best deal going. I've got those on my ms wheels. Been with me through 10 sets of wheels in 5 years. Great lugs

I love the Mcgards. They've been on 4 sets of wheels with no discoloration or signs of wear. I like the fact that they have a rotating collar on the end so that when you are torquing your wheels they don't mar the finish and help to provide a more even torque across the board. I would highly recommend them.

Or you could just get some black rays lugs...i mean there expensive but will def. look good with the wheels for sure
