My new Wheels

Just the wheels for now, got them a day ago. I'll be getting tires and installing them tomorrow. Rota SVN hyper-black. 18x8.5 e48 / 67.1 HB. Going to use 235/40 Falken's ST115.

Soon as I finish with the wheel install I'm going for a car wash and I'll post more pics.
I'll also be posting all clearance specs. I measured very thing possible to share it. I'll post it later, I left the #'s in the car.

these svn's are really starting to grow on me. cant wait to see the pics on the car.

bnoon 02-28-2009 09:08 AM

I like those too. I want the 8.5" wide one for slightly more width for the tires I want to run though.

DISITRB 03-02-2009 08:12 AM

These are 8.5 wide. That was my typo. Right when I finished getting the tires mounted it started to rain hard, so I did get a chance to take some pics. I promise the pics will be up this week. One more thing the 235 look a little stretched. My car is not lowered, but I think 245 would fit fine even if I lower it, only if you stick with e48 off-set or higher.

RayRayBauder 03-02-2009 09:58 AM

i saw these the other day and i was thinking about how they would look on a MS3. cant wait to see them on your car.

DISITRB 03-02-2009 10:46 AM

Just some snap shoots

Well I checked the weather and looks like it's going to rain all week, so I ran out side and just took some quick shoots.

Next it's H&R coil-overs, but it will be a few months before that. I going to wait for summer.\

Thanks guys.

coffeecheese 03-03-2009 01:02 PM

Thanks. I was planning to go with gun metal due to all internet pics. All the rims seem so bright due to a white background and high flash. Once I saw HyperBlack in person I know it was the right color.

dallasms3gt 03-04-2009 10:24 AM

Looks good. You are in the same boat I'm in, need a drop... My H&R's are getting installed on 3.14..

Kimo 03-04-2009 11:48 PM

Looks nice! Where's you get the wheels and how much if you dont mind?

I love the ST 115s, I had a set on my wife's Corolla XRS and they were SUPER quiet and handled great (better than the 452s). They get my vote for best bang for the buck tire wise. I have RT615s on the 'rolla now, as expected they handle even better but wear quicker and aren't nearly as good in the wet (of course).

I got the wheels from Wheeldude.com ($800) Tires from America's tire. So far I like the ST 115s. It has been raining here everyday and it grips very well it's surprising how good it is. Also going from 215 to 235 helps.

Thanks for the comment. It funny I actually made the decision to go with 235 from reading some of your older threads.

asiandude74 03-06-2009 02:40 PM

nice wheels looks awesome. I have a question, did you roll your fenders? and what would you choose 235 or 245 if you could do it again?

Yes my fenders are rolled. I would use 245. The key is the off-set for wide tires stick with e48 and higher.

That's pretty low though.
Thanks man.

mr_mazda329 03-22-2009 08:22 PM

I got these too. I'm just waiting on tires. I'm going to run 225/45R18 Falken Azenis on them. Sad part is, the tires will cost more than I paid for the wheels.

madvillain 03-22-2009 11:42 PM

heh, thats actually how low my car is right now.

ms3boost 04-15-2009 06:26 PM

what is the weight of those wheels?

zoomed777 04-16-2009 01:20 PM

the hyperblack is very nice...

06speedemon 04-17-2009 08:59 PM

those look sick, good job

marcusdigi 04-20-2009 10:12 AM

so 8.5" wide wheels do fit? Will 19x8.5" wheels fit in that case? What tire size would I need and what offset?

DISITRB 04-24-2009 09:21 AM

stick with same off-set that I have (e48). If you change diameter of the wheels you are just going to have to use a smaller profile tire.
