new cop repellent ( white bbs on sunlight silver)
 

after having black wheels on my last two cars and getting pulled over the same day they were put on i got sick of it.i decided to do my BBS wheels in white, in hopes of trying to blend in.




still needs to be dropped but what do you guys think

Limo tint, tint, tint on the rear light covers so dark you cant see the rear lights and white wheels, on a sliver car..........

It's different. I like the wheels but they don't flow with the car IMO. You have silver, white, then black with the tint/tails. Looks the tails and lighten up your window tint and it may look better.

And if you're getting pulled over for having black wheels then there is something fucktarded with where you live or perhaps you're doing something to draw attention to yourself? My car is pretty much murdered out and I never get pulled, in fact my last 3 cars have been murdered without incident. Then again maybe they just didn't see me.

i am taking the tint off the tails pretty soon

actually the pic makes the tint look dark,its 28% which is the legal limit.and as stated above the taillight tint is coming off

honestly if i had a reason to get pulled over i wouldnt care.but the fact i never get pulled over until the day i put the black wheels on every time leads me to believe they just dont like it.my jobs revolves around my license so i prefer to interact with the cops as little as possible

Yeah not a big fan. Just doesn't fit with the rest of the car. Maybe after the tinted tails are changed it might look better...i dunno.

I don't think that going from black to white wheels will make you any more or less of a cop magnet. Your other exterior mods don't help either. The biggest change you'll have is how often you have to wash your wheels. :)
If you truly want to blend in, get some silver wheels, ditch the taillight tint and the wing extender.

Personalizing your car with exterior mods gets attention, both good and bad. It's the price you pay for individuality.

If you like it that's all that matters..

i don't see why bright white wheels would repel the cops, since i'm pretty darn sure they're just looking for flashiness. the only wheel that's not going to actively attract cops is going to be a stock silver one...

I actually like it just the way it looks. What are you going to do about the brake dust though? You will have to change the pads to hawks or somthing. I have them and they don't dust that bad. They take a while to break in though.

I'm with you. My work involves interacting with many law enforcement agencies and the last thing I need is to be a ticket magnet. I just got a ticket for my tails so I'm switching to J-spec/Axela tails and getting another set of hatch tails. It's going to cost me about 600$ but the ticket is $300 and it's matter of time before I get another one (just got pulled over this morning again and got another warning).

After 4 days of driving the only reason they are dirty is from the rain we've been having.I'm due for pad and rotors anyways and I was planning on doing the hawks for that very reason.I'm fairly anal and wash the car 2-3 times a week anyway so it doesn't pose much of a problem

yeah I work in the service dept of an exotic car dealer.on a regular basis I'm in 100k$ cars and I have a 1 million dollar insurance policy on me that's fairly expensive and tickets won't help that in the least.






Truth be told I knew a ton of people wouldnt like the color and it's no big deal.I wanted something different from all the black wheels and I like how white looked.I'm taking the wheels off soon to be powdercoated and they'll probably end up black anyway just for the simple resale value of them.

if this car were slammed on some white te-37's, most of the haters would be jerkin off all over it. :roll:

doesn't look bad, but the tinted lenses clash with the wheel, too much contrast. those wheels with suspension would look alright with stock lenses (or "clear" lenses but i don't like those much either).

i considered the aforementioned combo on my SS, but i hate washing the stock wheels as it is, no way i'll do white ever again.

wheels have been black for about 2 weeks now and dropped on h&r's ill take some new pics tomorrow.i got tired of cleaning the white,they would look ok for 2 days max
