Default nitto nt05 235/40ZR/18

before i ask i have already done plenty of research and i have used the so called google button that people say when they think new people on forums are new. i konw plenty about my 08 MS3 but when it comes to tires im not sure. so all i want is a definite answer and maybe so photos.

i want to get some Tenzo-R Cuzco V1 matte black 18x8 and wanted to know if theyll fit on nitto nt05 235/40ZR/18. i think yes but i see other owners on different wheel and tire combos such as 225/45/17 and 17x8 tires i just cant find a definite answer. and also will i have a rubbing issue. i want to lower on some K sport Kontrols and have a little bit of wheel gap. all answers will help. and again i dont know much about tires and im unsure because i called discount tire and they said that was too wide but ive seen people with a tire that was 235.

Yes run a 235 most fucks at tire shops don't know dick. 235 will fit fine and go to the wheel and tire section next time. Plenty of things in the stickies

You'll most likely need to roll your rear fenders.

rubbing will depend on the offset of the wheel, but as said before you'll most likely need a roll. but those tires will fit fine.

so usually for a +45 offset this is common that one would need to roll there rear fenders?

discount tire and tire rack base tire size off of the stock wheel. they also say that 17s won't fit on speeds, and I don't think they'll tell you that anything over 8" wide will fit.

If you have aftermarket wheels then you can't trust the tire recommendations from either site.

I'm not 100% on whether you'll need a roll with a +45 or not, but I would guess yes. I have a friend who just put 18x7.5 +40 on a speed 6 with 235s...not the same car but wheels fit similarly and he's having problems with rubbing. I'm pretty sure you'll need a roll...can't hurt to do it anyway

If you are stock height they shouldn't rub, but dropped may need a light roll in the rear. I run the same size tires/rims as you want to run, and have zero issues

you also have markedly more room in the rear than the genwons. My tires sit effectively 12mm closer to the fenders than the OPs and they're almost outside the wheel well. I rolled and pulled my fenders and still get rub over substantial bumps and dips. I'm on stock springs.

These are 18x8 +47 offset but the only pic I have is with the 225/40 tires on. The nitto's weren't any wider though, just taller than my old tires

Here's a pic of this very same tire on my car: Nitto NT-05's in 235/40/18 size. Mounted on RX8's which are 8" wide with a 50 offset. Stock suspension with no roll needed:

EDIT: Oh, and I mention no rolling needed becuase I have no rubbing ever.
