The black MS3 is sexy. I'm not sure how I feel about the teal wheels and bumper stickers, but sexy nonetheless.

phillyb 01-30-2011 09:48 AM

bumper stickers and hood stickers suck...
love the car.

If someone put work into making a Yugo a high performance, reliable car, I'd tell them it was a pointless endeavor since they could've bought a better car in the first place.

At the same time, I would appreciate the amount of work they put into it in order to make it into a respectable vehicle.

Regardless, making a car stupid low on wheels that don't fit is less pointless (wait, hear me out) since there isn't a car that you can buy that comes like that from factory. On the other hand, there are lots of alternatives to buying a Yugo.

Roszko 01-30-2011 02:17 PM

Bumpers stickers are covering cracks and damage to the bumper. But I agree, could've picked something not so blatantly ugly. Whatever though, sick car

Qwik6 01-30-2011 04:50 PM

I think that black speed3 with teal wheels is sexy. I hate all those retarded stickers though.

Roszko 01-30-2011 05:03 PM

I'd be interested to know the specs. Anyone know his setup?

tigermack 01-30-2011 08:08 PM

It's stock EVOX wheels. I think he spaced it out some a little. On BC, I think.

Albertogti117 01-31-2011 12:48 AM

Stock EVO X's on KW v.2 i believe

its 18x8.5 +38 evo x oems, last time i checked he was on KW V1's with custom springs in the back(think no perches), maxed out in the front(not sure if hes still got helpers/perches in) no spacers

not sure about the tires though maybe 225/235? theres minimal stretch if any so thats my guess

HXC LOL 01-31-2011 04:11 PM

Since I couldn't find anymore 3's or 6's

ALIEN3T 01-31-2011 04:22 PM

Hatchie with the TEAL wheels i think were 225/40 on evo x wheels. Yeah bumper stickers hiding cracks. Helper springs removes in the front. Custom KW springs for rear. I think most power mods came off. But plans to put some back on. One of the first peeps i remember with EVO x wheels. but wanted to try somethin custom color no one else was using, PLus makes car stand out.

Looking at 17x7.5 et42 wheels...I will be running 225/45 tires. Will I need to roll my fenders with stock suspension?

Um... no. That's smaller than stock. I mean, unless those wheels have some really crazy offset or something...

goob_os101 02-03-2011 07:51 AM

They have an offset of 42

Shouldn't have a problem in the world. You can run those all day long. Hell, you could lower your car a bunch, and they'd probably still be fine

haha dude, you will be safe. Like jwilkins said, you couldn't rub if you tried

why the 17s?

goob_os101 02-03-2011 09:10 AM

I like the look and the tires are $30/ea cheaper than 18's and the wheels I want only come in a 17s.

I thought they would be close to rubbing due to the 225s and the 42 offset when I go with springs. I know they will be pretty flush. I have FD wheels (16x8 et50) on now.

I'm runnning 255/55s on a 16x8 rim in the front, and I only rub when I crank the steering wheel all the way. You should be 100% ok.

Edit: Here's how they sit...

Do 17x8, et38 require fender rolling with a 225/50 or 235/45?

I'm gonna say probably not. I'd watch your rear tires if you go with the 235s though.

I was running 18x8.5 245/45s in the back and I nearly destroyed my tires. I think you'll be fine though.

Definitely fine in the front.

Edit: Stock ride height?

You need to roll, especially when you have passengers... it's gonna rub for sure.

Fronts will be fine. I can 100% guarantee you that. Rears... They might rub, but I don't think they will

How in the hell does he get the rear so low on KW v2's?

MazdaASM 02-13-2011 05:39 PM

when aggresive offset can be used without -10 degrees of camber it looks sooo good...

case and point the red s2k(i might be a bit partial to the s2k's though)

Fronts can only be pulled anyways.

They will rub, only when you corner hard and have passengers going over bumps on freeway. Even rubbed with 225/45. 225/50 & 235/45 are both taller.
