So how is it that some of you guys are running 8.5 wide wheels with 35mm offsets and don't poke out nearly as much as these wheels I tried on yesterday? http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...-offset-89403/ Sorry but I couldn't upload the pics here since they are already on my thread. |
take one of the "http://" out of your link and it should work. camber will help with the poke. also a less meaty tire will make the poke less noticeable. just my opinion, but i think you should pass on those wheels, they dont look right on the car |

definately not a fn of the wheel style on the car, or period. ummm i agree with the guys on the posts going with rx8s for the oem look. if youre going to buy aftermarket wheels, get something you absolutely love from the get go. not something that you THINK looks ok or MIGHT look good. also do your research. im running the 18x9.5 et38(35front) and it was my first set of aggressive wheels and took me a while to get dialed in properly with no help from anyone around me. if you want, shoot me a pm with what youre going for and i have a pretty good calculator to let you know how itll sit. another thing to consider is, are you planning on lowering the car? if so, springs or coilovers? coilovers give you more options. worth the money imo. |

I Just wanted to try a different wheel that is wider than stock. ATM I'm going for more powah and not really concerned too much with suspension. Or wheels even, but I think I got a good deal on these with a great chance of making some profit. We'll see. Stock is holding up just fine for me and no real plans to lower the car. Unless I get CO's. |

My contribution... LW 20 x 8.5" Rennen Forged! ;) I still have to adjust the rear camber positive a couple degrees and drop it another 1/2" or so, but not too bad. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8182011015.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8182011019.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8182011031.jpg |

Its hard to see the stance from these pics...was rolling/pulling fenders & getting it washed/washed for hurricane storage in the safety cave. http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._3104088_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2538608_n.jpg |

haha wow i never thought i'd say this but that scooter is pretty badass |
That FD is sexy as fuck. |
Guys would these fit? XXR Wheels: 522 18x9.5 Chromium Black Rims Im on stock suspension, so im assuming i would require a roll. Would i need extended studs? What about a hubcentric ring? It says hub is 73.1 so isnt that our size? Just want a heads up from all you fitment gurus, advice please! I really want a concave look. I want gold ones but they only have 18x8.5 with a 30 or 48 offset. I feel like 18x8.5 would fit better but in this size they only have 30 and 38 offsets wtf do i do!!!! :17: |
use this calculator Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com *actually fuck them, they are charging for a general fitment discription, e.g. how much closer the wheel/tire will be to the fender or suspension |
FUUU Wheel gurus assemble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

"XXR 522 18x8.5 +30/ 18x9.5 +25 Also these are sitting on Nankangs 215/45, planning on switching to a 40 series !" http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5210/...a6ce6a21_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5289/...9e6bca41_z.jpg |
not tryin to go staggered, idk they look weird in the first pic. Also 215 for those sizes is way to small. Ugh why is buyin wheels/tires so fuckin complicated. :crucified: |
i think the 8.5s allround would look sweet though. they are nice rims it's just the 9.5 that looks a bit too much  |
its just what is required with a +30 offset. from my understanding +38-40 is the ideal offset and would require minimal modification of fenders... And im torn between theses and rota grids... i thought the xxr's would actually look better, but now seeing them on the car im having second thoughts lol |
Grids all day. XXR's look cheap, my friend has them on his speed, he hates them but he couldn't pass them up for $200 |

8.5 +38 235-245/40/18. a roll will do and won't poke crazy |

245/40 wont work. Dont even try to use a tires that size when trying to use crazy offsets. Even on stock height its gonna rub hard. LOL |

Also, Im living in Grove City PA and I was at the outlet the other day and I saw (what at first appeared to be) a speed6! I was so excited, and a CHICK was driving it of all things. I was parking and I made my presence clear and I was confused why she was ignoring me. Anyhow, I get out and she starts to drive away and whatwhat!? It's an automatic... and wieeerd it is missing its exhaust tips. Turns out this chick bot the lip spoiler off a speed6 and rebadged her car as a "MazdaSpeed 6" so lame... thats the 2nd time Ive seen a mazdaspeed fake badge wannabebb |
