Thanks. They replaced a set of BBS lm and before that a set of mazdaspeed rays. |
LOL at that last pic where it looks like the Evo ran that civic off the road. Thanks for the details. I know very little about this stuff but can appreciate some of it. |

These are my newly acquired track wheels. Enkei NT03+ 17x9.5 ET44 Hancook RS3s in 255 width 12mm spacers in the front but 5mm will not hit the struts. Got these from Tire Rack, $250 for each rim and $125 for each tire. Not a bad deal overall I think. Had to get Enkei involved since these wheels with this offset were not in TRs system so they did not have a part number. Fucking people at tire rack did not want to do any of the leg work so I had to forward all my email correspondence with Enkei for them to set it up. But at the end they delivered everything in excellent shape.Took about 2 months to get these from Japan. These are just about the best set of wheels I've ever had so far. Weight per wheel 47 lbs. Rim weight about 20 lbs I think. My RX8 wheels with 235 NT05s weight 44 lbs at the end of their life. http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11115-2037.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11115-2037.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11215-1956.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11215-1956.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11224-1413.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11224-1413.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...11224-1413.jpg |
Sweet set-up bro, so 32mm offset and 37mm will not hit the strut? |
^^^ correct. All the way up to 39 won't. We are talking regular struts though. Not coilovers. I am running trimmed FSD's with cobb springs. About 1.5" drop. |
not sure how aggressive these will be...5zigen fno1rcs 18x8.5 w/ 235/45/18s or 245/40/18s on GenWon w/ stock suspension(soon SenSen shocks). I am assuming that I may need a 5mm spacer to clear the front... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...101/wheels.jpg |

Not really... It just means that his rear sway bar is inhibiting extension of the suspension on the side that is in the air. ;) That picture would look quite a bit different with the RSB disconnected/out of the way... |

Yeah I wouldn't imagine you'd need much of a spacer to clear the struts. Throw a 5mm on there for good measure. Roll your fenders good. And you're all set. |
You don't see these wheels on many Mazda3s let alone a Speed3. I think they look alot like my FDs...but better! They may get painted satin black... |
|
I love steelies lol. IIRC, @sumthaiguy used to have Work Eurolines or something that looked similar to the wheels on that first FD. Wasn't my taste - I think the flat/fatter spoked wheels look better on VDubs. But it didn't look bad. |
