Not sure if you know this, but ms3's are failwheel drive and I was asking for my rears therefore I will have no issues with traction my friend! :chairshot:

Just because the wheels arent driven doesn't mean you dont want them stuck to the ground. Driving around like your rear is on lunch trays just doesn't make sense. Plus 9 degrees is retarded looking.

I love the look but I need more tire than that.

7th Initial 04-17-2013 01:35 PM

I ran a 225/45/18 first and rubbed horribly so i just dropped size and wall. When these tires go Il bump up to 225 or 235/40's

very nice...

I just picked up some old Enkei RS evolution wheels... 3pc.. they need to be refinished, but they were a great deal.

look just like these.. but super dirty..
http://derrickrivera.com/enkeirsevol...729101722a.jpg

hah - I dont even know they width.. the wheels are in that bad of shape.. I'm guessing 17x8, although the ones in the pic above are 17x9, & they look just like what I have.. heh

ill let you know after I refinish them..

I have the rear fender lips rolled, hammered, and pulled a hair. I also smashed the shit out of the bumper tabs with a rubber hammer and bent the edges up around the bolt so it clears the tire. I have ZERO rub with this setup.

I'm looking to get a set with the same specs as you for wheel size. How are they holding up? Build quality?

NICKEL666, do you have any more side profile shots and close ups of the front and rear. I've been looking at XXR's as well in the same fitment and wanted to see what your clearance looks like.

And was the fender and liner work necessary because of how low you sit or would have been necessary no matter what?

Car looks great man!

Thanks

I don't but I can try to get some this weekend. Fender work, I'd say yes. As far as the liners go, you'd be fine if you didn't go so low(any lower and I doubt I'd be able to get out of my driveway). Also, might need some camber adjustments.. Depending on how stiff your suspension is and what size tires.. It's really hard to say until you actually get them on and get your ride height where you want it..

I've got this one..

So you are saying you did not have to roll the fronts at all? I find that difficult to believe.

well i didnt touch them to put the new wheels on. they feel rounded in the front but i dont know if that is factory or not. on harsher bumps i get a slight swords-clashing noise like the lip hitting fender. my height is just about set so that the fender is lined up with the line between the tread and sidewall. i was actually very happy with this fitment and im reconsidering going to 245/40's down the road, i may just get 235/40's

the rear was a different story, its maybe 3 blocks from firestone to my shop, and it just ate the tires right up without a roll, scraping on every bump. i had to use a prybar and then a metal pipe to roll them quick. im going to do a real roll all around next week and adjust for final ride height.

Sweet, would be much appreciated. I'd definitely like to see how far they poke. I don't ride as low as you but yeah, gonna have to try it out.
