so essentially your running like a 41/42et all the way around?

why would you space them out?

I got them because I wasn't sure about the offset when I ordered them and I didn't want to chance rubbing the control arm. I posted a pic a while back when I test fitted them, it's kinda tight. I believe the final offset is around +38-39.

:: Gusto :: 05-28-2013 03:46 PM

discovered my 3pc 17" wheels wont fit.. =0(
super bummed since I just had the straightened... I was about to tear them apart & refinish them.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps416adba5.jpg

as you see the valve sticks out too far.. believe it or not.. the caliper has about 1mm of room all the way around the wheel except where it meets the valve stem.
hrmmm maybe I can get it spun in the other direction... make them fit somehow...
========

O & I had my ARK wheels shaved. The Offset was 40.. I had 4-3/4mm removed off the rear.. now they don't rub on my fenders... =0)

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps99ef4ea0.jpg
the only pic I have is of it in the background of my '74 super beetle...lol

NICKELL666 05-28-2013 04:38 PM

Shave your calipers?

might do that.. thanks.

I'll keep you guys updated

Here's another of my setup.
18x8.75
215/40(closer to a 225)
rolled slightly pulled. Some camber adjustments in the rear. No rub. I'll probably go with a wider tire and raise it up when it comes time to get new tires. I like the look, just want some more meat;)

245/45/17 Nitto nt555's. Love these tires, but I'm switching to 235/40/17 NTO5's to help with rubbing in the rear.

I know I'm nearly 3 years late but that looks dope man. Very inspiring to a new MS3 owner and it seems achievable to a student as you're not on $4k Volks lol

One of the best stanced MS3's I've seen so far! Wonder what kinda of fender rolling and stretching it takes to run that setup..

umm no real heat soak compared to tmic... boost temps are a little cooler but not much, if anything i have noticed some turbo lag, i had the CPE 3.5 tmic before this and it was a difference in lag. but nothing to serious, i personally like the ease of pulling plugs and working on the top half of the motor when needed, its taking of a pipe compared to an entire IC.

Umm... painted the lip two weeks ago to see what it would look like but i think im going back to paint matched with the car... it draws to much attention.

Youre right, having a car that looks like a 4 year old did the colr scheme on is cool in 2013. What was I thinking.

If he wasnt your friend, you kids would be in here trashing his car. Infact, i remember a similar look genpu that you just so happened to do exactly that too.

Rofl.

We all know that's not the mentality of this forum, we rape people for their taste all the time. Stance, rice, hellaflush....we destroy that all the time, not our cars.

First off, I know I am right, I do not need retards like yourself to confirm that.
Second, he is my friend, one of my best friends matter of fact, and I was the first person to tell him how fucking stupid that lip looked. But the second he acknowledged my strong dislike for the lip, I left it alone. Ya know why? Because who the fuck cares. As a friend, I have authority to voice my opinion. You on the other hand can shut the fuck up and eat a dick.

K, thanks.

secondchance 07-21-2013 05:50 PM

I lol'd pretty hard. You agree the car is a joke and your reasoning for it is "so?".

Beautiful response.

Brb going to get a spray can of cool so I can fit in guiis
