Changed my mind and went with a 225/40/18 and it actually fit pretty nice. Going tomorrow to get my fenders rolled and adjusted.

my2k13speed3 07-17-2014 07:06 PM

What did you have to do to the fenders to make them fit and not rub?

Astrall 07-17-2014 07:10 PM

Tomorrow I'm going to get them taken care of, I imagine that they will be rolling and pulling them a bit

Astrall 07-19-2014 06:23 PM

All on :D have to go back tomorrow and get the rear fender adjusted. Also found out I blew a rear shock so now I have an excuse for coils [emoji51]

Wheels should be measured from inside lip

hollar1211 07-24-2014 12:57 PM

so a local guy here is selling some mint condition nissan 350z wheels with tires for $300. i need wheels and tires.

they are the 17" 6 spoke design. the front tires are 7.5" and rear are 8". tires are 225-50 up front and 235-50 in rear.

i know the bolt pattern is the same, and i've seen guys run the 350z wheels on speeds before. i'm not a fan of staggered wheels on fwd cars, but like i said, i need some wheels and my budget sucks at the moment.

does anyone run a 235-50 on here? i'm on stock suspension but i do plan to get some lowering springs and the fenders rolled.

for $300, i might try it. but something tells me to walk away.

235/50 is pretty tall. Also aren't the 350z wheels 18" ? I would personally stay away from them though because you'll need the hub bore machined out as the Nissan is smaller hub bore than ours.

hollar1211 07-25-2014 08:47 AM

fronts are 7.5", rears are 8". i just told him i'm no longer interested. wasn't even thinking of the bore. thanks man.

Out of curiosity why do you need wheels? What's wrong with stock wheels until you can save up and get what you really want and not hunt for a good deal...

hollar1211 07-25-2014 10:50 AM

Went in for an alignment a couple weeks ago after I rotated the tires. There was some vibration so I figured it just needed balancing. Turns out I have 2 bent rims. I also need 2 tires. Not an emergency though, I still drive it. Just thought it was a god deal at the time.

let me get this right... you put flares on to gain more space in your wheel wells for your low ET set up.. & then still proceeded to run something NON-Aggressive!???!

WTF is the point of that...!!??
Hell if you going to go through the trouble of putting flares on & your running a 25ET wheel... why didn't you just go w/ a 18x11!?!? Something that would at least fill out the space.

congrats, you have achieved this look..

XXR's only measure the inner lips of the rim, not the it as a whole. Thus 8.75 is well more like a 9.75.

Domino81 08-05-2014 10:31 AM

After seeing the 531's... I want a set...

http://thumbs.newschoolers.com/index...&size=400x1000

Not sure how I feel about them only offering them in a 18x8.5 +35

my2k13speed3 08-05-2014 10:33 AM

Seems like everyone and there mothers are running XXR wheels, I don't get it...

Cheap and decent looking wheels. Most people get em cause its only around $500-$600 for a set

Downmented 08-05-2014 12:24 PM

The 513s specifically look almost identical to CCRs, IMO.

IMO you get what you pay for. I wouldnt touch XXR's with a 20 ft pole.
Pictures of them breaking and horror stories scare me.

IshiKage 08-07-2014 07:55 PM

Ive seen pics of various brands of wheels breaking. Even OEM wheels have broken so... Wheels crack or break everyday, B. http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5581/fbj4fbjpg.png

Ok so I found a stupid good deal on some rpf1's with tires. But the issue is they're 18x9.5 +15. Has anyone fit anything with similar dimensions on a 6?

Edit: Fuck it, not gonna waste my time trying to fit something that huge.

I_AINT_RICE 09-15-2014 11:35 PM

Just looked through a good amount of these posts. Just picked up some 350z GT v2 staggered rims for cheap. Anyone know if you could run a 235 on these rims with a "light" rear fender roll? I'm pretty sure the offset is like 30 and 33, with 8.0 and 8.5 wide. Also the rims came with 2 new 225/45/r18 tires, probably too tall I'm guessing but input would be appreciated.
Also the car is lowered on KW v2's with adjustable camber arms

Before anything, you're going to need the hub bore enlarged on those wheels to run them.

If you run 235/40/18 tires with the 8.5J in the rear you're going to have to do a flat roll. I have 235/45/17 on 17x9 et35 in the rear on natural camber and I rub on big dips with a flat roll

Sorry to sound like a newb but what do you mean roll them flat?

Basically a pretty aggressive roll so that your fender lip is bent completely flush to the fender

Ultimately what I was looking for was something more aggressive and truth be told I was thinking of selling these wheels. I think it gives the perfect compliment to them and the car and I once again feel like I did when I first installed the ST100's on the car. They're still heavy, but now they give the car a better attitude and I'm really diggin' it.

Any rubbing issues with that width and offset? Roll?

I_AINT_RICE 09-16-2014 04:23 PM

In case anyone was interested, you DONT need to bore the hub for 350z wheels

MY DICK IS SMALL-beautfpowers@gmail.com 09-16-2014 08:18 PM

id just like to take this moment to say... if you don't run 295s on a 10 inch rim, you really shouldn't being in the aggressive offset thread... :violin:

Domino81 09-17-2014 05:50 AM

Had to play around with the roll, as well as the camber. I eventually replaced the 8mm with a 5mm spacer. And set the camber back to a more neutral setting.

Hey guys!

Wanted to join the thread! I posted in the general discussion, but I want in!!

Here's my MS6 with MB Battles 18x8 +30 offset running Hankook 215/45/18

I'll probably get 5mm spacers to close the gab a LITTLE more + pull my rear fenders.

did you really put regular 6 tails on your car?
