Cars with knockoff volk rims and authentic volk stickers/accessories probably outnumber cars with real volk rims.

just sayin

You'd be surprised, most people don't have the balls to buy replicas then put the real stickers on. That's pushing it. I'm sure it happens, but I've never seen anyone do it.

Grabbing a set of Algernon Intelesse II's tomorrow. I plan to tear them down and do some work to them. Undecided as to what color theme I will go with exactly. They are 18x8 ET36. Pretty happy, grabbing them for a good price!

Okay guys, so im going a little crazy..

I am looking at buying a set of Rota G Forces. 18x9 +30 and will be wrapped in some 235/40/18 Continental DW.

I understand rolling the rear fenders most likely will need to be done.

But the real question i have is do you guys think i will run into any problems with the stock suspension (specifically the struts)?

According to this website ---> LINKY (wheel specs already typed in)
They should fit because the part of the rim closest to the strut is actually a little bit farther away than the stock rim.

So if anyone could chime in and either reassure me that these will work or give me a heads up on what might need to be done. Spacers? I dunno really i just dont want to buy them and have to do a ton of shit to get them to fit.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

you are going to need some rolling, pulling, camber arms at +30 and will most likely rub on stock suspension with how soft it is. you would be better off with a higher offset. actually, you would be better off upgrading your suspension first. then wheels.

edit: you have a 2011...which has more room, so you may not need all of that.

How would i know if i needed camber arms?

Houston Nator has a roller so i have easy access to that.

Is the camber at +30 still going to be an issue on the gen pu?

negative camber pulls the top of the wheel in towards the strut. in order not to rub your tire on the fender you may need negative camber

Even on stock suspension and a roll?

So i guess i would be better off going with the 18x8.5 +44 To get them to fit better?

Yes indeed, I grabbed them for 800, they were on a CRV before and have some Goodyear RSA 225 50 18s on them. Obviously I will not be using them but I can recoup some money spent on the set. Maybe 150 or so....they are at 80% tread.

These will be torn down and PCd. I have a few ideas for the color.....should be pretty interesting. It will all come together in the next two months or so. Weather needs to get better along the way.

No, it doesn't (at least not on this car).

The distance between the strut and wheel/tire does not change with front camber changes (unless the camber change came about from a bent strut).

Now, additional rear camber will indeed bring the wheel/tire closer to the rear shock, but there aren't any struts back there.

ok the rear it brings the top in towards the shock and the front the top of the wheel gets pulled towards the center of the car haha

Yeah you can deff run that. I had to use a 10mm spacer up front to clear the strut.

That's exactly what I'm running, 18x9.5 +38 with 225/40's. Only need 3mm spacers up front.

That's WAY too narrow a tire for an 8.5" rim, and the sidewall is too short for the stock height.

And as far as form over function, I didnt get this car to speed around and track it. Its just the look I like, I know most of the people here hate it, but its what I chose to do.

same as evoX wheels. look up some info on that. not too hard to run 235 with a little rear fender work. 225 will have some stretch to it.

hopefully you arent running just the springs.
