my question was does anyone know where in md/dc to get fenders pulled. The tires look and fit nicely, they just rub the inside of the fender. What you quoted was a response to someone else's question

After looking at some of the stuff in this thread, I wouldn't call my shit aggressive...

But here's my new wheels:

Konig Kilogram
18" X 8.5" +40ET
Falken 722 tire @ 245/40/18

Annnndd...yes. I'm rubbing under certain circumstances. Rolled pretty flat, but not flush.
Hamilton69 and 6ixof1 like this.

Well the MS3 is my DD so I decided to strip off the nice wheels and make it impractical. Lol

I just put these on today. They're 17x9 +30 MB Battles with a 235-40 not too crazy. They'll look good when the coilovers ever come in.

I needed a reason to rid of these crappy H&R springs. These wheels look like shit now without a hard static drop. These damn GenPus sit like monster trucks even with springs.

Stock Junkass suspension. 245/40/18s are a tad bit taller than the stock 215/45/18s so eats some gap up. I plan to go with SenSen shocks and either Eibach Pro kits for a mild drop or H&Rs for moar lowz. I heard a few rubs this moring on some large dips at highway speeds, but I know its due to the stock craptacular shocks. I can feel it when I ride the bumpstops. I think a 3mm or 5mm spacer would look nice, but would def need to roll the rears. I have plenty of clearence on the frunt struts too. I think my winter setup is closer. I run General Altimax Artics in 215/55/16s (very close to stock specs)on RX7 FDs, but they are bulgy.

Overall I am loving the new found grip and nice ride of the Nittos. I had these on my old E36 ///M3 and loved 'em. Hopefully someone can take a nice photoshot of my car soon

Put some 5mm spacers on the rear making it 18x8.5 et35, going to put the 5's up front and get 10's for the rear

You have any side pics or close pics of the front? I'm on koni yellows with Cobb springs, 18X8 +48 OZ ultraleggeras 225/40 junkho tires. I want to go with 245/40 Nitto Neogens but not really wanting to roll or pull. We have really shitty roads around here!

I am not a guru, but I believe the Konis are a larger diameter than stick shocks amd the spring perch/seat is lower than stock. This causes rubbing in the inner part of the tire...I think that sounds about right.

A pull or roll will not help since you have a 48 offset. You would then need to ise a 5mm - 10mm spacer to clear the struts. By decreaseing offset you push the wheel out. Now that you clear the strut and have no inner issues you will now have outter issues. Even with a roll I think you will rub. You would need to pull the fender and trim the bumper piece.

This is why I am going with the SenSen mazda5 shocks, they are stock diameter and I will use perfromace springs to get moar lowz.

Wider is not always better...You could go wih a grippier tire in a 225 or pay less. Also you may see better mpgs.

I still have 18 mm between the tire and the strut perch where the springs sit in.

No. Koni FSDs, Koni Yellows, Bilstein Sports, and Bilstein HDs all have OEM diameter front strut housings. The spring perches, if anything, are actually a little higher than OEM (hence, why many claim their wheel gap increases slightly with them).

If you clear with OEM or SenSens, you will clear with the quality options as well.

So would 255/35 up front and 225/40 out back be a dumb idea? I need traction! Then I wouldn't have to worry about messing up the rear wheel wells or rubbing?

I would not run 255s on an 8" wheel...235/40/18 is almost stock specs. I would go this direction since you should have no strut clearance issues

He will TRAVEL to you and knock it out quickly.
Just tell him Phil W/the white MS6 sent you his way.
Ask anyone in the DC/MD thread that has had work done. He's legit.
He's pulling on Sunday. I'll post pics when he's done. Couldn't be happier with the prices too. Thanks for the hook up dude. I owe ya!

I need the spc's. But if I do more camber then I might as well get a wider tire. So for now with no more rubbing it's a trade off.

Some shitty; s300sx fmw turbo, home made fmic setup, home made 4" Intake, 3.5 blowthrough maf, home made downpipe, poorly self tuned. More motor mounts then necessary.

Gay and coated white enkei rpf1s with stupid 245/45 tires. Pointless drilled and slotted rotors. Clunky coilovers. Ricer lips and lights.
