If I remember correctly they are 18x8.5 can't remember the offset though...

Your diff is going to break. Why would you ever run staggered rims on an awd car in the first place. Especially that extreme of a difference.

Those forged 3 piece rims must've been pricey.

But I see you are rolling 265 series tires? I've never heard of anybody being able to stuff that size tire on a 6. I think 255 is, or was generally accepted as the limit. How'd you do it? Must take the perfect combo of wheel width and offset. If you aren't rubbing on your suspension, I don't see how you have paint left on your fenders.

Seems like at his height, as long as the suspension is stiff enough, he will not be rubbing in the rear. @:: Gusto ::, what is the offset on those wheels, and what width tire are you running in the front?

Although i don't agree with the running of a staggered setup on AWD, his setup isn't going to cause issues. And if you think it is you must not be thinking very hard or you would see that it isn't the width that would cause issues, its the rolling diameter of the wheels, so if he had 17" in the front with 18" in the rear, that would cause a huge problem. But he isn't,

Okay, sorry you are correct, I always thought running a staggered setup on awd ruins the diff but I researched and it appears if you have the same rolling diameter then you are good. Thanks for correcting me.

This has to be the perfect example of under education. I mean yes it looks good but running taggered sizing on an AWD car is FAIL. Your abs system, and entire AWD system itself hates you.

@secondchance

You have to be about retarded to attempt to question his level of education here. You have failed to read he posts above yours where this has already been addressed. His setup will cause no issues with his awd system. The rolling diameter is the only hing hat would affect his car in a negative way. You could cause he same damage you are thinki of simply by running uneven sized tires on a squared setup.

So before you open your mouth like you know what the fuck your talking about, you might want to do your homework and remove your foot from your mouth.

Okay guys....so I'm on evo x wheels....and my fronts are basically finger gap if that, and my whole wheel well liner and everything is all cut up and breaking off, so I'm basically hitting the top of the tires with that lip u can see sticking down from muddle of fender well ((white pinch well looking thing)).....What can i do to prevent this...I'm on a 225/40 up front....so what can I do, smaller width tire or what? Since I do want to go a tad bit lower.

the rolling difference on my tires is like .03% .... your are pretty much allowed up to a .3%....

I do still rub a bit.. i'm running 1click back from full stiff in the rear..
barely get rub... on the edge of my fenders.

Ive been in talks w/ BC for stiffer spring rate in the rear... & apparently nothing is offered at this time. I'm going to have to source out a heavier set else where.

I rolled my rear fenders a few weeks back.. & dumb ass me was in a rush & not thinking about the small dent I had in my rear fender seem.. & i buckled my quarter panel.. hah
O well... might call dent wizard.. or just take it to a shop & have it cut & flared-out a bit more... so i can run my 10.5" wheels alil better.. hah

its a 235 frnt & a 265 in the rear
the rear offset is PERFECT!!!
about 1mm between my rear lower control arm..
on jack stands w/ the car in 1st you really get an appreciation for it.. hah
It's so damn close its scary.. hah

Yea my exhaust shrouds are smashed.. I have 2 spare sets... heh
my car used to be a lot lower... use to tuck tire in the rear w/ my old set up..
& well .. since it was on springs.. come winter.. it got into a battle w/ some froZen snow.. & broke.. o well.. - ill toss the other ones on @ some point.. I only leave those on for the reflectors.. when my car is parked on the street...

I'm on racelands currently(fuck them, they suck) but I'm too broke to buy "real" coils.
What can I do to go lower? currently theyre just spun all the way down but I want to go slightly lower. I dont want to make the car unsafe(took the helpers out once and it was fucking sketchy) but I want to lose some fender gap. Ideas?

you could remove the bump stop(s)... & take off the collars...
COULD...i dont recommend it.. it will ride like crap & you could break something...
but I know other people who have done that... for stance.

This is supposed to be a community, calm down guys. If you dont like it then dont be in here. Its their car, they should do what makes them happy since its their money that theyre throwing at it. The hate should go towards 8thcivic. I dont like stance much but I was just checking it out to see whats possible because I think some of these guys are crazy, and it intrigues me

see I liked your whole post right up until you told me to put 245 or 255 series tires on my car, and then told me its not a vw and a 240. Again, this is the one stance/fitment/offset/hellaflush/whatever thread this forum has. Stretched tires and camber are a fact of life if youre into that scene. I don't know what people do not understand about that. I was asking about removing these parts of the coils because a lot of VW guys do it and I wanted to know if anyone had done it to the mazdaspeed racelands...thats all

@Stangcobra You are missing the point. Your initial post about this stupidity stated that you didnt want to make your car unsafe, which in fact you have. Therefor let the flame begin, then you get defensive about "stance" You're a scene kid, a groupie, a sucker for trend. Dont get defensive when you come into a performance oriented forum and start talking stance. Yes there is a small section (this specific thread alone) that relates to "AGGRESSIVE OFFSET" but this is mostly for folks like myself who are into Form+function. And lets be honest, your sig is the perfect example of a cheap build.

You have rapeland coils, and rotas. You driving on Rotas alone make your car unsafe, not to add in the extra fail of tire choice.

If your so into "stance" and safety, then do you remember the Minty Fresh 350z from the west coast? He royally fucked that car from a pothole/blowout combo. The car was totalled.
