Default 17x7 with 42 offset. anyone?

I'm looking at these wheels from Tire Rack. They are 17x7 and only 14.1 lbs each. That would be 11 lbs lighter than stock. The offset is 42mm, would that be a problem? Anyone here have these? Do you think maybe they are too light?

too light, never

will they stick out too far at +42, more than likely

stock offset is +52.5 so your rims center will be 10mm further out than stock.

I would also suggest looking for something wider than 7, unless you plan to stay with 225's or narrower tires

general prefered offset is either 48 or 50 for most aftermarket rims
some people are rocking +45's but you gotta be sure of your clearances for that, and with a 42, you better be really sure you can fit it before ya go with it

PM Steven88. I've checked his car out and I'm pretty sure he has the same Kosei K1 TS rims.

on a 7 inch wide rim 42 offset is totally fine. Go for it.

Depends on tire size, I run these with 245/40r17 on stock ride height gen2 with no rub (slightly 4x4 status wheel arch gap), 5mm spacers up front for strut clearance.

That said, you really should put on your big boy try-hard pants and do some research (seriously, I had the same question and was able to figure it out via google within 5min)...oh, and don't resurrect old threads from 10 years ago like a necro.

No no, use the breaker bar for bashing the head, at least then they haven't thrown off the torque calibration for the next guy.
