Racing Hart J8 19X8 +32

Got a great deal on some Racing Hart J8.

As many of you know, these are forged lightweight wheels from Japan.

19X8 +32 Offsets on 235/35/19

Its a love it or hate it I guess

Love the look of this MS6. I liked the old wheels a little better though I must say. What are you doing with those?

yoichi 01-25-2009 11:22 PM

They will be up for sale soon for cheap

19x9s are about 24.5lbs.... far from "lightweight"

19x8 would be similar

Yes, its not super lightweight like the Volk TE's, Ce's or Enkei NT03, or the RPF1. But they ARE 19 inches.

For a 19" wheel 23-24lbs is in my book light. My TE37 19X10.5 for the Z weighs 21.5lbs and you can't get much lighter than the TE's.
It is still lighter than stock and looks better. I am not auto crossing nor do I plan to.

Man, you always have something to say about my car don't you.

I'm not being negative, just answering questions that hadn't been answered yet...

23-24 for 19s (larger than stock) and 8" width (wider than stock) is very good. Most plus size wheels are much heavier AND have more weight toward the lip which is bad for rotating mass.

What tires are you running? size, brand? all-seasons I'm assuming?

yoichi 01-26-2009 12:27 PM

Running Toyo Proxes.

225/35/19. Sidewall is too thin. I just bent the two front in a huge pothole last night.......:( $300 to fix both.

Need to run at least 235/35/19 for a slighter taller sidewall for some protection...lol

Really? That sucks man I was thinking about getting 19" RPF-1s for the speed3 with 225/35R19 Dunlop SP Sport MAXX caus they're XL load rated. Might rethink it now. Were your Toyos XL load rated?

yoichi 01-26-2009 04:40 PM

Just be real careful. Funny thing is that the 19" volks on my Z have been put through hell and not 1 single bend. lol

225/35s are way too small of a sidewall for any place that snows. Learned MY lesson. going for 235/35 next

y2kc0wb0y 01-26-2009 06:13 PM

Yoichi; are your new wheels cast or forged? It's been my experience that forged wheels stand up to abuse a lot better than cast wheels. If they are forged you guys have mean pot holes up there.:yikes:

yoichi 01-27-2009 09:58 AM

Racing Harts are forged alloy. And yes, we have MEAN potholes up here.

phillyb 01-27-2009 11:02 AM

i love dirty cars

:: Gusto :: 02-02-2009 04:18 PM

those are some sick wheels...

cant believe your rolling on 19" wheels & u live inthe city... NYC has some of the worse pot holes ive ever seen.. heh

yoichi 02-02-2009 04:45 PM

My 18s are going back on for now.

After bashing them in, I am scared to drive now lol.

:: Gusto :: 02-04-2009 04:33 PM

spheed3 02-28-2009 02:50 PM

yoichi 02-28-2009 10:29 PM
