figgin confusing

LOL sorry for the confusion. Let me try and clear this up.

For stock suspension a 9" wheel and +42 offset will fit without issue.

Coil-overs or aftermarket struts will require more clearance, which means less positive offset.

so aftermarket struts are a larger diameter ? than the stockers?

so i should account for this as i would like to upgrade to eventually, i was under the impression coil overs were narrower.
but now that i think about it the spring comes down lower on the shock body than a strut so that would make it a bigger dia, ohh boy

After having the Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R's, I'd have to go with the new RE-11's that replaced them. Great traction, though first and second do still spin it's MUCH less than before. Even stock turbo I was able to roll-on spin through 3rd gear at 20 psi and air/water, now 3rd pulls like a mofo with no spin, and even the top end of 2nd gear actually starts to gain traction a little bit. 245/45/17 is what I have now and will run 255/40/17 next time.

well i kinda dropped the ball and needed tires asap, so i ended up with 17x7 40 offset and running 235 45 17 and i had them siped and they hook up awesome so im real happy and 0 fitment issues
wish they were wider, but i don't think it would make much diff in the traction department!
