| Not Ranked : 0 score I wasn't agreeing with you. Paying ~$1500 for a name isn't worth it to most people.

People who want a budget wheel (Kia) cast in the phillapines buy Rota. People who want a high quality wheel (Porsche) forged in Japan buy Volk (or another high end brand) Sent from my iPhone using lame ass Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score I just don't see what is so great about Volks. They aren't the only light weight wheel manufacturer, and are crazy expensive. Sure, if you have a high dollar racing outfit, sure, the forged factor comes into play. But for the rest of us, cast wheels are fine for the street use that 99.99% of cars ever see. Maybe I just don't get "it."

There's a reason why Rotas (and other low end brands) are cheap... And there are reasons why Volks (and other high end brands) are expensive... I personally, wouldn't want to do any high performance driving on budget wheels... Why take the risk? There are high end Cast wheels I trust though. Like the OZs I currently have on the car... Or SSR wheels although they're not "cheap" when compared to Rotas... But when compared to Volks, they're definitely cheaper... Ive never paid full price for Volks - always gotten them 2nd hand - including the ones I'm selling lol And of course there is a premium you pay for the "Name Brands" or "Baller" factor... | Not Ranked : 0 score You probably do pay some for the name but for the most part you are paying for the material and technology behind it. There is a certain threshold where the money to weight savings become ridiculous--but that's what you pay for. One thing most people forget about a set of volks is that generally speaking you won't lose any money on them if you buy used. I had a set of te's that i broke even on. Not bad if you ask since i got the performance and looks. Cheaper wheels will cost less up front but you might run into quality issues and you won't have a high resale value.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yes, since 99% of the cars on the roads have cast wheels made in the Philipines and do just fine without spending $600 a wheel that'll bend when you hit a pot hole just like any other.

| Not Ranked : 0 score One of my friends has the center section of a 350Z Rays rim hanging on his garage wall. Looks just like the infamous "failed" Rota pics that everyone posts. All 6 spokes shattered on impact, so you're not getting rims that are "fail-proof" when you spend $2000+ on just rims. You're getting a slightly lighter wheel that will give you that extra .05 seconds on a racetrack for hardcore racers. If you think 4 lbs per wheel gives you a significant advantage for street driving, you're fooling yourself. I was going to go the Rota route until I found my Works for as much as I'd spend on Rotas. That's the only reason I'm not rollin on Tarmac 3's. If you're just buying Volks for the street, you're just buying the "bling" no matter how you justify it to yourself. Friends don't let friends buy into hype. ;-) Edited for cell phone internet fail
