RX8 wheels or wait out
 

I'm still looking for a new set of wheels for my 07 Speed3. A set of mint condition RX8 wheels just became available local at a good price. At about 3lbs lighter and an inch wider, they'll be a nice upgrade over the stockers. Plus, I have a set of 225/45/18s sitting in the garage with 75% tread left that would work well with them.

But, I was thinking of going with TSW Nurburgrings, Enkei PF01s, Enkei EKM3, or even BE by Breyton GTS-AVs. All of these options are more than 2x the price of what I can get the RX8s for.

Would you wait out and save up or just go with the RX8 stockers?

I love my rx8 stockers... the wider rubber makes a big difference, the crappy picture at the weird angle at stock height doesn't do em justice

Depends on the price, how good are you talking man? Based on what I got mine for, you should get yours for 1/3 the price of the rpf1s, and remember, you can sell your stockers bringing overall cost down to $0, or close to it.

At the moment, the seller wants about $450 for the RX8 wheels. They're mint, no scratches and come with the center caps.

I'm hoping to get him down to an even $400. If I were to go with these, I would likely sell the speed3 OEMs with the remaining rubber on them. I can probably get $500 easily local. Keeping in mind I'm in Canada, so shit tends to be abit more expensive anyways....

Additionally, if I were to go with aftermarket wheels, I'd probably keep the OEM Speed3 so I'd have them when I eventually sell. With the RX8, they're OEM so good enough.

i payed 400 for my rx8 wheels with some tires at 50% tread... they do have some curb action though

Sounds like a no brainer then if you get him down to $400. I paid $375 shipped with light rash but I'm getting them pc'ed so no matter.

i got my rx8's for 200 so i have funds left over to refinish and powdercoat them. after i get them mounted, i'll sell my tr mt1's.

oem rx8's look really good on our cars.

Picked up some RX8 wheels today. They came off a 2006 with only 10k on the odo. No scuffs, no scratches. $400.

I would trade for those, no doubt, I do have a speed3 though...and I do already have a set of RX8s, thanks for the offer though!

I definitely dig the rx8 style I am considering picking up a set of either Enkei or rx8 wheels. Either way they are going to be gold/bronze.
