Tire cupping

Ok fellas, I need opinions on this. I just replaced my suspension with Koni sports and Mazdaspeed lowering springs, also a Cobb RSB on Saturday. I was adjusting the RSB yesterday since it was making noise and noticed the rear tires are cupping pretty badly. Since I just put the new suspension on, I know it was caused by the crappy OEM shit. The question is, should the tires be replaced? Is this considered "dangerous"? The tires still have decent tread on them in some spots .

Cupping? Did you install the camber links??

BTW how do you like the ride with that combo? I had ms springs on stock suspension and it sucked.

post some pics so that we can tell just how bad the cupping is.

Silver, the ride is pretty good. I have only driven about 100 miles, but so far so good. It is not bouncy at all. Its a little more harsh, but I like it. I think the Konis made the difference. I did not use the camber links.

Sacrilicious, I will try and get pics tonight after work. I left my camera at my buddies house, so i will try and use my phone. If that doesnt work, I will get pics this weekend.

Here are the pictures I was able to take tonight. They are crappy cell phone pics, but you can kind of see where the tread is low, then higher.

Have you gotten an alignment since the install?

I just put the new suspension on Saturday. This was caused by the old suspension. I had an alignment 3 months ago, and am going this Saturday to get one. I am tired of the noise from these tires so I bought some Continentals today. These are my "winter" tires. I have no need for snows, so I just get all seasons. They should be in so I can get them installed on Saturday along with the alignment.

ya, my understanding is taht cupping is usually caused by bad alignment.

does look too bad, an alignment should fix the wear and if the tires are bidirectional then you can just flip them on the rim to wear them evenly
