Default tire size on oem wheels?

hey guys,

I know this issue has been brought up before but I couldn't find much when i searched it.

I want someone with knowledge to answer this question, not just some guys opinion.

225/40s on stock wheels or no? Running 215/45/18 hankook v12s but I'm about to get new tires and I need a little more rubber on the road. I also don't like the way those skinny tires look on the car! probably going with hankook again or one of the dunlop star spec tires. Somebody help me out (preferably someone who is running these tires on their car right now).

Thanks!

I'm currently running 225/45/18's Star specs with no issues and no skinny tire look on stock wheels

I recommend 225/45/18. Will fill the wheel well a little better too. The 40's will look tiny as they are a tad shorter than your stock tires.

I have 225/45/18 Hankook V12s on OEM wheels on mine with no real issues. I have heard rubbing on the rear on two occasions when I had the car fully loaded (3 adults) and stuff in the trunk hitting a deep bump. Otherwise no issues.

225/40/18 is what the OEM 2010+ MS3s run. I got this for my NT-01 track set. I haven't put them on yet to try it though..
