Tire wrap for storage Just curious, I see many people storing their wheel/tires with a cover. I've been using witer and summer tires for roughly eight years without covering them up. What is the benefit? Since I always wash my wheels and tires before installing them I can't see dust as an issue. Is there a lagit reason or is it just to make the garage look neater. |
As you said, I think most do it for neatness. The only practical reason for covering tires, as far as I know, would be to protect against sun exposure. Obviously, tires are exposed to the sun every day while on the car, so I wouldn't be worried if they weren't covered. |
