don't get goodyear fierce hp 225/40 r18 tires. i put them on about 6k miles ago and they now have eaten down through the wires on the inside ring of the tire. i found it out when i rotated my tires when i did my last oil change. took it to one of the most respected alignment shops in the area and found out that my alignment and suspension are all well within spec. tire pressure is within spec. apparently the rubber compound is just too weak to handle mazda's -1 toe adjustment. i havent done anything to the suspension since i had the car. i got 23k miles out of the factory tires, did not even get close to the wires.

that being said, anyone recommend a good tire, not too pricey that will last me more than 25k miles. its my dd, so i could sacrifice a little traction for longevity. ima get slicks eventually for the track anyway.
