I too found a place in BC that had a good price and it would have cost me just a bit more. I went with tirerack because I've had ZERO problems with them over the 4 purchases I've made there and shipping was faster.

I choose 225/45R18 as that was a closer match to the original tires. I'll mount them on my mazdaspeed(rays) 18x7.5 wheels.

Speedaway, we'll need to compare notes once we get these tires on, eh?

They look fantasic just stacked up in my garage. Can't wait to get them on.

Oh and my first choice for tires was the Continental ExtremeContact DW but 1) they were back ordered until 3 days ago and 2) the price went up by $50 a set. If I was purchasing today I'd problably still go with the ExtremeContacts DW just because they are lighter and have a larger wear index. No matter, i'll be able to compare the ExtremeContacts with V12 because my other car (Volvo S40 T5 AWD) has them new for this season.

Cheers!
Just looked at my tracking and they will be at my work place by this afternoon, i got some 225/40/18 that will be on my stock wheels.

I got them for 835$ tx in and delivery, when i first check a few weeks ago on the tire rack, they exchange rates wasn't that good, it was almost at par so it came down to they exact same price. Then i found out my size was on sale on "1010 tires" so i ordered them.

When i put them on i will start my review's so feel free to chip in "fade2gry"

My boss as they EC on his Jetta and the thread didnt look as good as the Ventus IMO....

I agree that the ECs have a bland looking tread compared to the V12s. We'll see if those great looks translate to performance.

I gotta get off my ass and get my wheels powder coated before I put these tires on tho.
