depends really
how competitive do you want to be?
obviously the hoosier A6 is the fastest, the 245 is faster than the 225, however, the wear on the 245 is god awful. I went through at least 5 sets of front tires (245's) this season and was on the same set of rears (225's) the whole time and the rears still have 70% life left. That should tell ya somethin ehh?

The R6 is a decent choice for people moving to R's for the first time. If you got 225's all around you would get an assload of runs on them, perhaps a full season, I think a local guy I know is running 225 A6's all around and he has gotten 7-8 events on em, if he flips them, he will get another 10+ events outta em easy.

If all thats too much $$, consider the Nitto NT01, its more geared toward road racing and has some tread, but I think its a bit cheaper than the hoosiers and is suposed to have grip somewhere between good street tires and the hoosiers.

heh, see as I said, it all depends. Smaller wheels will take you out of stock class, but then indeed, tires would be a little cheaper.

i run stock height, but dont have stock shocks, so I personally didnt have rub with 245's in the rear (while racing), the softer stock rear shock may allow more compression leading to a chance to rub, but it shouldnt. I was also on +50 offset rims, so you will have an extra 2.5mm of room to the outside if you stick with the factory +52.5 wheels.
If I had to guess, id assume you would be fine as long as you dont have passengers in the back :439:
