lol, a 295 on a 9 is really extreme, I wouldn't ever recommend something like that. But then again he may have been running a tire manufacturer that ran small, I know that Nitto drag radials are usually one to two sizes smaller compared to other brands (i.e. their 315 DR is comparable to a 295 from other companies)

Looking to run 18x8.5 +35 offset with 245/40R18 with H&R springs on my speed 6. It looks like these will fit does anyone have recent pictures with this set up on there 6?

Is it flush or not?

Not sure how this thread turned into a "what size tire do you run on your domestic?".

245 or 255 is what you want to run on x9 for it to fit on this car.

@MarineMazda;

SPEED6 245/40/18 !!!???

seems like +45 area is a good bet for that size tire. I'm looking to run 19x8.5 on my speed6 and found the same offset recommended just with a 245/35 tire. hope this helps good luck.

Stock type strut/shock suspension (koni sport yellows) with a mild drop @1.5" (eibach 'pro kit' springs), SPC rear chamber arms- wheels 18x9 45 offset

any forseeable problems running a set of 245 35 18's ?

would a 18x8.5 +55 running a 245/40 with h&r springs fit if fenders were rolled?

Not exactly sure how stuff fits on the 6, but with that offset and wheel width you are definitely gonna hit the suspension.

I would guess a spacer about 15mm should do the trick.

You'll definitely need a good roll.

Yeah I figured they wouldn't fit cause of the offset. Never hurts though to ask. Thanks

Konig Runawy's 17x8 ET48

Nitto NT01's on them 245/45ZR17

I'd be correct that this will fit Gen1 fine without pulling/rolling?

Go +35. 20 may be to far out to fit in wheel wells.

Just thought I'd share my experience after reading this entire thread. I'm running 18x7.5 +42 with 225/40's. Just installed h&r's and they fit perfect with no rubbing and no rolling. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

I've read through this a few time and can't find what I'm looking for.... Gen PU, koni and pro kits and I hope to run 18x9 +45 and 255/35/18s? Will I have any issues?

Edit: Just realized this is Gen1. Mods can delete if they'd like.

Thought I'd contribute to this just in case anyone ever considers it:

08 Subaru WRX STi OEM wheel (non-BBS).
+55 offset.
18 x 8.5"
56.1mm Hub size.
27 lbs w/o tire.

The gen2's stock 235/40/18 tire fits, but it is slightly stretched and offers little protection from the wheel lip. The wheel came on the STi with a 245/40/18 tire, so I would recommend that.

Had to get the Hub bored out to 67.1mm by a local wheel repair shop.
Only other way to get these to fit would be using universal spacers (non-hubcebtric) to bypass the hub entirely and depend on the lug nuts to center the wheel.

No rubbing at all on stock suspension, even over bumps and uphill driveways.

More angles available upon request.

Coilovers with the above setup would almost certainly necessitate front spacers, if anyone cares.

8.5" wide wheels at +55 on my car would be hitting the coilovers...

Olympits here in Orlando charged me $25/wheel. It will depend on your local machine shop, though.
I figured that since the spacers were going to run about $50, and they are frowned upon anyway (since they force the wheel to be lug centric) it was worth the money to spend the extra $50 and just do it right.

ok i read about 3 out of the 5 pages in this bitch and couldnt find an exact match of what i want to run...i hate being the guy who reposts but hey shit happens tl dr nce

17x9+35 rpf1s with 255/40/17 Nt05, stock height for now, but planning on getting H&R springs with Koni yellows. Read maybe a 5mm in the front and some good rolling in the back, yes? Ultimately wanted Corksports Coilovers since they came with front camber plates, but adjustments can happen to be able to run these tires.

You will just require a roll in the rear other than that you should be fine. I run 17x9+45 with 255/40-17 and that's all I had to do.

I would strongly recommend getting the +45 offset RPF1's like I run believe me it's tight and they just fit even with a roll.

It doesn't work that way, you would need to cut material off the wheel to raise the offset

It doesn't matter if it's a good deal if you can't use them. Rather you use then and destroy your fenders or need flares so now it's not a good deal anymore.

Curious what's a good fit for 17x7.5 et45 rim, I'm on stock struts with an eibach pro kit drop. I may have to run 3 or 5 mm spacers because the rims hub bore is 66.1 instead of our 67.1 bore. That would ideally make my offset 48 right? Thinking 235/40 or 45, but definitely looking for input/advice..
My new rims thread New rims!

Spacers will lower your effective offset.

A 3 mm spacer on an et45 wheel makes the offset effectively 42 mm.

Thanks for this, basically what I was looking for. I'm about to install Corksport springs which should be similar to the drop you have, and will be putting that exact wheel on. Can you post the pic? I was trying to decide whether a 3-5mm spacer might make it look even better.

i run a set of 265/35/18 on a set of 18x9.5 with no rubbing. cut the inner lip off the rear fenders and took out the liner and no problems. Could probably go up to a 275/35/18 with no problems.

Yeah. I think I would go with a spacer if you really want it flush, here's a pic.
