Default what is the difference in open lugs and closed?

besides the open lugs being open on the end, is there a difference as far a rust getting inside the thread or anything else that i would not want to go with either open or closed??

yes open lugs are more prone to causing the end of your wheelstuds to rust since they expose raw metal caused by the friction of the thread contact.

the only use I have seen as far as needed to run open lugs is drag racing with slicks where the studs needs to protrude a certain amount passed the lug nut, other than that same shit different day basically

I have been having troubles with these lugs cuz Muteki uses horrible packaging that make the lugs scatter around during shipment. they get all scratched then i get accused of selling used lug nuts. please note this before you buy them from me. lol.
