Who's replaced their TPMS sensors with valve stems?

Fuck government mandates. They're only going to cost me money. I'm dropping in valve stems. Does it beep at you every morning or just when you re-set the ECM (like when you re-flash with AP) I'm going to put my new set of wheels on tomorrow.

The exclamation point blinks several times each start up and is solid after that for permanent

I sold mine awhile ago, after I bought some new (cheap-ass) wheels/tires. My stock wheels were all bent to shit.

My front right and left rear are bent. Subsequently, the TPMS sensors in those wheels also do not work.

I don't have them in my winter wheel setup. The little low pressure indicator blinks for about 10 seconds then goes solid every time you start your car. There is no sound, however. And inspection stations do not inspect tire pressure.

It's decided then. Unless someone has 2 sensors they want to sell me cheap, I have a box of 50 shorty valve stems to give my father-in-law tomorrow when we put my tires on.

I also drive all winter with no sensors...you get use to the little light.

You should have no issues with inspection since the light is on it proves that the TPMS is functional...and if the inspector asks just tell him you run low pressure for a softer ride or some BS like that.

I bought some on ebay for super cheap. I'm too OCD to have lights staring at me in the face all the time.

Just get the cheapest ones (and a rebuild kit if they need) it and call it a day.

I always put a black piece of electrical tape over the TMPS light.

Worth a try. I seem to remember him posting that when Cobb displayed all of the codes that could be disabled, but the more I search, the more I fail to find the code #.

I'll keep trying, and if Chris is around, I'm pretty sure he'll get back to me.

I've been on my Rota's since July without TPMS and all it does is show up on the dash, if you really wanted to you could just take the sensors out of the factory wheels and make a TPMS bomb, I think there is a how to on here

Hey, I think we bought the same wheels. Sonic Tuning ST100s? I'm not gonna worry about the TPMS. The light only beeps when it first comes on, every time you turn the car on there after the light just turns on, no beep.

Back the the ST100's. I bought Conti DW 235/40/18's for them. I'm in the middle of moving so I haven't put them on yet so I'm very interested in seeing how yours look and fit. Post pics soon!

That won't work with the Mazda sensors. Our sensors require motion for activation.

Take all your inflated wheels/tires off, put them in the hatch, and replace them with a setup with no sensors. Drive around for a while and your light comes on.

I had one break on mine and I took it to mazda and asked if they could cover it under warranty and they did. Its worth a shot if you have warranty.
