Lifting a front tire off the ground is different. Most of us get a little air under the inside rear.

tigermack 04-14-2010 05:52 PM

It was a bump near the finish going at it at speed... I don't lift the fronts normally but the rear, I do.

I have a pic of me three wheeling at the last autocross. My 245s and stock suspension make it easy.

On the topic of wide tires, another local MS3 owner picked up some Enkei RS-M 17X8 +48 wheels with 255/40/17 Dunlop Star Specs on them. Them came from an STi owner, all he needed was new hub rings. After a rear fender roll, no rubbing anywhere.

oh well just bought a bmw bike & a new clutch for the speed6

Got the last tire mounted up and bolted on the car. Dialed in the front coilovers - lowered them about another 3/4". Sitting perfect - slammed as shit in front. Rears maxed out (BC Coilovers). Just gotta add a touch of camber to the rears and I should be perfect. Here's my phone teasers on my way out the door for work this morning. Better pics once it warms up Friday and I can wash the car.

19x9.5 +25 Privat Reserv painted orange (no spacers)
225/35/19 Nankang NS-II
Camber - don't know till alignment

Those look fucking awful.

peez 12-29-2010 11:04 AM

im not feeling the orange but the stance is on point!

RhoadBlock 12-29-2010 12:58 PM

No worries. It's love it or hate it. I don't expect everyone to like it. Fact is that's the only size tire I can run on that wide of a wheel. If I could run meatier 255s, I'd probably do it, but you literally can't fit those under the fender without massive work. And I'm not sacrificing my ride height. Plus 225/35s are considerably cheaper lol. But to those that ever said 19x9.5 low offset wheels will never work...thanks for the motivation.

mizboo102 12-29-2010 01:04 PM

looks good, that takes dedication to drive a car around like that

amen brotha.

tigermack 12-29-2010 04:32 PM

Yikes...

Chupacabras 12-29-2010 04:42 PM

Your wheels are like a fat chick on Springer. Way too big for her clothes.

Really, I'd have safety concerns; look at how much lip is sticking out.

jroc 12-29-2010 05:38 PM

Funny...I have 255s under my ms6..simple roll.

;)

Although not my style, I applaud going against naysayers. A lot of people said 255s are impossible to fit under these fenders.

Touche. I stand corrected. Should've said with these wheels. I think I could've tucked some 18x8.5 ~+35 with them. Likely would have had to raise my coilovers up a bit too. These wheels simply had too much poke to fit "proper" sized 255s or so inside the fenders. And I've got mine flattened & with a slight pull.

Haven't seen you in forever J. I just mostly lurk on MSF tho. How've u been?

jroc 12-29-2010 11:35 PM

Haha yea man its been a minute. I mainly lurk too.

Just been racing the car like I've always wanted. How's the other side of the US?

RhoadBlock 12-30-2010 07:44 AM

Werd that's cool. Been good over here. Just doing more stuff to the car as money comes around. Still haven't made it to Sebring yet. I'll slap the O.Z.s back on and make it to one if I can catch a break from work next year. Got my dad's HVAC business back up and running so I've been busy as hell. Car's a few months away from being paid off. After that, then I'll knuckle down and make it to Sebring once I got some more income going to savings and not payments/bills.

BTW, I <3 your race day weight lol

jroc 12-30-2010 10:10 AM

Nice. Yea my car is paid off in june. I plan on building the engine next year around xmas time.

I love going up to rx8 owners and telling them this fat pig weighs as much as their car does. Ill be getting the car reweighed in feb. It should be lighter

:: Gusto :: 12-30-2010 09:31 PM

Doooood rhoadblock....that looks sick as hell...
Soo jealous!

06 Douza 01-09-2011 03:29 AM

That looks awesome man you couldnt get the stance to look any better and those wheels go perfect with it!

zx2man 01-09-2011 04:34 AM

Once I get my 3071 in, Ill be looking for more traction. Right now im 18x8 46mm 235/40 tires.

This will be daily driver with occational track use. Im thinking 17x9 with 245 tires atleast,255 preferable. I dont want to spend the coin for good set coil overs, so thinking Koni Yellows&Cobb springs. a stance thats fairly aggressive, but not too low, and will work with fender rolling and no "major" work.

Any suggestions? how am I looking here gentleman?

RhoadBlock 01-10-2011 02:18 PM

Ok, I think this is the only thread I haven't whored the finished pics out to. Here's the final set up...

BC Coilovers
19x9.5 +25 Privat Reserv
225/35/19 Nankang NS-II
~ -2*f / -3.5*r

http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/DSC_0495.jpg

http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/DSC_0423.jpg

http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/DSC_0451.jpg

This is just my daily set up. Track set up is my weak 18x8 +48 O.Z.s until I get something fatter with more meat. Thinking 18x10 mild offset 255/40 or something along those lines. 18x11 with massive fender work if I get stupid enough lol.

:: Gusto :: 01-10-2011 06:05 PM

doooooooooood thats sooo soo soooo sexy!!!

saw the finished setup on SN or WFC but damn it looks so sick man! i think your the first speed6 (atleast that ive seen) with a totally on point stance :notworthy:

ZoomByU 01-13-2011 11:27 PM

thats on point!!! im running the 225/35 federal 595s but want to bump to 40 to fill it out more. your BCs look like they go lower on yours than my MS3

RhoadBlock 01-14-2011 11:00 AM

It may be the subs/amp in the trunk? I know you guys get an Extreme Drop Kit tho. They don't make one for the 6. Bastards lol. When I go back with 18s, I'm just gonna have to remove the spring seat to get lower :D

jroc 01-29-2011 05:04 PM

im getting rid of my 255-40 on my 17x8's and stepping down to 235-45's.

the 255's will be going on some 17x9.5's, and around summer time ill be tossing on 275s hopefully.

stay tuned.

RhoadBlock 02-02-2011 04:43 AM

Lookin forward to seein that J

hamsterman 02-10-2011 12:20 PM
