Will EVO X wheels work?
 

Quick question for the Wheel Guru's out there. Will EVO X wheels fit a MS3? I know the bolt pattern and hub diam is good but will they work? What size tire can I get away with?

Yes they will work. Yoichi has a thread on 6club but I'm too lazy at work to dig it up.

i know the white ms3 is rolled and it think hes on cut eibachs or shorter then regular

pretty positive if you wanna kill the gap then you'll need a roll

ive seen some pictures on evolutionm of some painted white, and they look SO fucking sexy. just keep your eyes on the FS sections over there, last time i checked there were like 15 listings every week, if not more

Damn, those are sexy, I'd love to get a set to powdercoat a nice gold or bronze to offset the Black Cherry.

However; I'm already dropped 2 inches on stocks with 235/40/18.... I don't think I could run these wheels with that rubber. It's not the rear I'd be worried about (simple fender roll and probably a pull) it's the fronts with dips and turns. :(

Would these rims fit a plain old Mazda3 with stock ride height okay? I've heard that an offset of 38 is a lil much on a rim this size.

It's weird, depending on the photo and the angle they look like they stick out. Other photos not so much. I like the look and the stance as long as they don't stick out over the edge of the wheel well on top. Then that looks gay.

Got word that there were questions about fitting EvoX wheels on a Mazdaspeed 3 so I thought I'd sign up and chime in.

The rears sit flush with a 245/40/18 on it. The fronts however poke out slightly.
I'm dropped on pro kits, and rolled the rear fenders flat. I don't rub fender, but I'm rubbing where the rear bumper meets the rear fender. I haven't had any problems with rubbing in the front.

I'll be switching out the pro kits for road magnets, and we'll see how much I rub after today.

I finished swapping my springs to road magnets, and I must say the rubbing in the rear is much worse than before. I'm going to need to grind off a bit of the fender lip where it meets the rear bumper in order to keep it from cutting the tire.

If you were to get these wheels I'd put some 235/40/18 tires.

This is what I want to do. I want to pick up a set of evo X MR BBS rims for my MGM, they are so expensive though. They are the same size and offset as the other evo rims correct? So technically they would work as well?

Yes the BBS and the stock GS/RS or whatever it is are the same size. I'm not sure how good the BBS would look.
