Some people are anal retentive about these specs, but I've always been in the mindset if you can get em on the wheel run it. Tire shop may not want to do it, and if you find one that does, don't be surprised if they have trouble getting them mounted. Took 3 people for my shop to get my 225 rcomps mounted to the stock 7 inch wheel. Have you thought about a 235 tire? That should give you what you're looking for on that size wheel.

wow... your tire shop must have skinny guys like me working there...lol..

at my tire shop, there is this guy there that's the size of viking, but reminds of me of those gladiators from Eurasia...1 crowbar in each hand, single-handedly mounted my 235/40/18 on a 8.5" wide wheel...:shocked1: watching him mount my tire was like watching an ancient iron smith make swords...

245 is too wide for 7.5" wide wheel....it'll fit, but it'll likely diminsh turn-in response, and might even cause unneccessry rubbing issues. Good luck.
