Default DIY intercooler sprayer for gen 1?

Anybody have any good how to's or thread links to help me out? Im thinking about trying a low budget project jus to help me at the track and hot summer day/nights. Id say for a good 40 bucks i can put together a decent little helper for some heat soak on my factory tmic...any discuuion? Thanx!

It's been done before, but the results weren't significant enough to justify the work it takes to install it or the money out of pocket for parts.

I'm not saying you can't do it. I'm just saying it isn't worth it.

You'd be better off using that down time to observe various female extremities and jerking off.


Seriously, if you want noticeable improvements, get a FMIC and meth.

Haha ok man point taken thanx for the input! I wanna try meth and bigger tmic...or if i have the cash try the cpe fmic. Only future budgets will tell

Top mount is a good option, but will still suffer from heat soak. The plus side is that it's really easy to install and swap out for dealer visits. A top mount with meth isn't a bad combo at all. You'll see a big difference.

I've been thinking about meth as well. I have no idea how to change timing though, or increase boost (which is what I assume you'd like to do with meth). I have a Hypertech tune at the moment. Would a meth kit still be beneficial to stock/hypertech tuning or would you lose HP if you didn't change timing/boost?
