(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score you need: 13mm wrench and a pen (or similar thin pointed object you can pry off a little hook with) focus on these parts of the turbo: ![]() grab your 13mm and remove these 3 bolts holding the bracket and the wg: ![]() ![]() here's the little hook thingy that u need to remove on top of the arm. i used the filer from a nail clipper: ![]() ![]() all done: ![]() shots of the flapper opened/closed: ![]() ![]() there's quite a few methods to keep that thing closed although i don't want to weld it. we'll see what i'll end up doing. thanks for looking.

IWG doesn't dump enough air, so you force it shut and slap on an EWG instead.

what'd you do to bolt the compressor housing back on? I cut the meat off the wastegate actuator bracket and used just the half moon shape and bolted it back on.

easiest way to isolate the iwg is to tac weld the acuator arm at the acuator and leave it installed, a small tack weld that can be ground off if you ever choose to revert back to the iwg or possibly sell it....welding the actual poppet inside the turbine housing essentially ruins it, or requires a lot more time and effort to reverse the delete, they way I suggest takes @1 minute either way.
