I don't believe that 690hp in a diesel truck is good for sub 10's on a legit track. Those things are like 6400lbs so that's about the same power to weight as a 345hp speed

Well it takes $60k to get a Crewcab Chevy Duramax to run mid to low 10's. So this kid would prolly need $30k+ into his Cummins to run anywhere near that like its been said before. Just run this kid and find out. Its not like you guys are running for money. So sushi roll and be done with it.

that fact you asked what kind of truck he had and his reply was the engine leads me to believe he doesnt even own a truck let alone anything with power under the hood, you would need over 1k hp to drop those kinds of speeds

Couple single cab 5.9 common rails in my are with well over 700hp, on slicks the fastest I've seen is 10.80's, mind you these are gutted trucks still north of 4000 lbs. torque is their saving grace cuz after 100 it's all aero and they fail in that department.

Ive been studying diesel turbos and I am not aware of a street trim diesel of any make that runs sub 10 seconds. They have to be stripped and have at least one turbo that is the size of a basketball.
