(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I did a WOT 3rd gear log in my usual spot starting from 2.5K rpm. But I stopped short this time because of what felt like my car hitting redline. It made that fuel cut sound when you hit redline, except it wasn't rapid like when you actually get up there, it had a much slower repetition to the sound. I'm currently using Cobb OTS maps. for 91/92 octane TIH+SRI Stage 2 I've highlighted the WOT area in case any normal driving log could be useful to see This log was after these changes: -JBR TB TIG -JBR IM TIG -Cleaned + unplugged EGR -Cleaned Valves -SURE Halos injector seals -MD OCC -Bnoon Bolt -Cleaned filter -Cleaned MAF -Spin on conversion -Switched from Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 to Rotella T9 5w40 Also switched out purge valve solenoid for 3rd time because I had P0441 code and LTFT was approaching 12 and Actual AFR was 15 at times this morning. Actual AFR are back to normal, LTFT are hopefully working their way down. Also opened air vent thing in grill ducting that Eric@edge posted somewhere. Also since MSF won't let me repost attachments, my most recent logs before said changes are in Lex's intake air temp thread. Intake air temp discussion Wondering if there's a big warning I can't see, or if I should go out and do another log and maybe this was just a fluke, i've never experienced before. And also attached is a vdyno between this and last log. You can see where I stopped short before 6K

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Intake Valve Advance-Why is it open after 5k? I think this thread about intake advance pertains to my issue, except I'm not understanding why I suddenly got .12 and .25 after 5K rpm. Took me from 300 to 333 g/s on the log it seems. I'm also not sure how how concerned I should be or not.

I went to ITV-22's at 22-25k miles, im at 39 approaching 40k miles now. Gapped to .28 by nuprin here. Maybe I'll get a new set either way. I'm wondering if it's boost cut since the OTS tune is 18-17psi, and I got to about 18.5. Though I've gone over before gradually with OTS tune and nothing dramatic happened.

Vincent, boost cut would feel like the car wants to through you through the windshield.

or: (specifcally shoots over to the post i talk about the plugs) Experiences with cut. if not, short answer is, apparently waiting over 20k miles means you get high risk of spark blow-out. I thought my crap was boost cut, then load cut, then i read up on spark blowout. checked plug gap and sure enough, it was at .033 or something. Got new plugs and haven't had that feeling since. | |

I read in Cobb's service bulleting that for this car they advise 10-15k miles between plugs, but maybe that's just being safe. This will be about 20k for me. Time to give edge a pm (:

| Not Ranked : 0 score well, i was at 30-40. it was pretty bad the amount of gap i had, but the car was still running amazingly well. so... i guess it's case by case. 15k isnt too bad for plug swapouts.

you gapped them .26-8 when you got them right? I didn't know spark plugs wear out of that range over time.
