I think people tend to get overexcited with bolting this and bolting that on, that they forget a well built bottom end will give you alot more room to play, and alot less money and heartache.

well here is my uneducated thoughts

CPE is too expensice, and doesnt flow as well
PTP slags off lilguy.. and hasnt a great deal of info

yeah id have it done all in one hit (water meth and the Xede.. im sure SAS can do it) as the Xede seems to do a pretty good job of running it

il do some more research

When it comes to water/meth basically a bottle with injector is set up to the CAI? Where do you get the water meth mixture to refill?

Mine injects into the hot side end tank on the intercooler (top mount for now). This way all of the mixture is fully vapourised and cools the charge as it passes across the IC. Chiptorque have actually never installed w/m. They knew about the Xede function and explained it but had not actually installed before. The Xede allows 2 channel control which means that if you wanted could run two injectors to engage under differing conditions.The place that installed mine do it routinely but first time with the Xede as the controller. You make your own mixture (just use methylated spirits also known as denatured alcohol which works just as well as pure methanol). The hardest part is finding a location for the bottle as there is stuff all room under the hood. They did a great job on mine. Looks like it factory installed. 50/50 or 60/40 maximum mixture gives the best results to control detonation, increase the octane rating of your fuel, cool your air charge and clean the crap out of your engine. Promise you won't regret doing this. It is a great choice.

If you want to go with a bigger turbo later on, i recommend you Precision Turbo. The turbos are excellent and the warranty too.

Pleasure mate. Do a bit of research on w/m and it is a fascinating area. Goes back to WW2 and the german fighter planes (the brits caught on and copied for their planes later). It made a brief appearance in Formula 1 as well but was soon banned as the cars were making ridiculous amounts of power.

I remember working on the old 707's (as in first Boeing passenger jetliner) and that had water injection on it jet engines to gets its arse off the ground on hot days.. It was a real kick in the pants when you flipped it on during an engine run on the ground.


Think fire hose of water.. well almost

yeah and we used Nitrous Oxide on our planes
