NEW LED Fogs Installed

OK so to make it breif. The HID Fog Kit I was running was a kit I had in my previous 2 cars - so being free I used them again.
But now after 6 years of service one blew out. (not too shabby for an aftermarket HID Kit)

So I wanted to try out the 9006 LED replacement bulbs this time to see if I liked em.

Long story short - I love em so far and heres pix.
Once I get to see them at night and see how they work... I will post up my thoughts.
Considering these were 20 bux shipped ... worth a shot


The pix in order are... the bulbs... side by side hid left led right
then just finished pix - with one dirty engine bay thrown in

yeah nothing beat the brightness of the HID... but with my HID Headlights as good as they are - theres enough light as is

actually I think i did see yellow....

just search for the color range you want

like mine are 6000k thats how I found exactly what i wanted

These just plug in? I don't need any other hardware to make em work?

Also, in those pics, are your headlights upgraded as well? I rarely use my fogs, and I'm happy with the stock headlights at the moment, but I wouldn't mind fogs that matched the headlight for as cheap as possible.

yes they are just plug in
direct replacements for the stock bulb - no kit etc

and yes I have 8k HID for headlights

autolumination is a great company to buy from. I've spend hundreds with them over the last 5-6 years

i drove around a bit last night and the light was fine especially since my hid's give great lght

early this morning it was still sorta dark and the same thing - looks great

Those look great! I have the 9 LED bulbs in mine. Not as bright but the fogs work worth a crap anyway!

i've had my led lights on my fogs for a few months now and i love them. it gives it a different and unique look. and like kdawg says, my headlights are so bright that my fogs aren't really functional. i mainly use them for appearance. but i went the gangster way and got the really bright and expensive ones from vled.com. matches my hids perfectly in color



i'll post up pictures of all my lights on at night tomorrow

Installed mine tonight. As others have said, I consider this purely a cosmetic modification -- however, the LEDs certainly are no worse than the stock bulbs.

Here's a couple of shots -- one with one stock/one LED and another with both LEDs installed.

I didn't. I've read that it can help with light output, but I didn't want to hassle with it.

Mine are not brighter...they put out very little usable light. If you want something functional, I'd probably get some slyvania silver star bulbs.

for pure light - my hids were far better
but i dont need that due to my hid lowbeams.

all in all - for me - i would have gone with these initially

and no - i idnt remove the shroud - no real need - since the actually light output wont change much with this type of bulb

I might go this route... my left fog light is messed up... seems like a rock broke the glass and the bulb as well...

Do you guys know where I might be able to find OEM ones? If not any cheap alternative? I might just do HID since I have to fix it anyways...
