Default 08 MS3 w/ 949 6UL's 17x9 +48

Here's my 2008 red MS3 on 6UL's. I've not seen any other MS3's with these wheels, I know the MX-5 community uses them a lot.

I'm on Koni yellow's and H&R sports. No spacers in the front and rear is rolled and tab trimmed. No camber kits.

Tires are 245/45R17 Falken 615+

Let me know what you think.

How is this setup working for you so far? I have been looking for wheels for quite a while and considering 17x9, 17x8.5 and 18x8.5. I am currently on Rx8's and would like something lighter like RPF1's but I don't want to use spacers or have rubbing issues in the back.

Still going strong. Had the very rare rub in the right rear and ended up putting camber kits in the rear and setting to -2.6°.
Love the added grip. May try out RE71R's next set of tires though, nothing wrong with the Falkens just want to try the best tire out.

Glad is working for you!
So how much clearance you think you have on the front? I suppose it is tight since you are not using spacers?

Nice to see someone try them out. I have about 4 sets of 6ULs for my Miatas. They look great on your car. Tungsten/Red combo works really well.

You'll love the RE71Rs over the Falkens, but I would recommend the BFG Rival S 1.5s over them. You pay more, but it truly is the better tire other than wet grip. RE71Rs will heat cycle out quicker than the rivals as well.

I’ve got about 10mm between the shock body and rim and about 5mm between the bead protection of the tire and the shock body. The little rubber “hairs” would touch but no rubbing.

If I were running coil overs I would need likely a 10mm spacer.
