Default 18x8.5 +48 MT1

Just had my summer setup put on the other day.
These are 18.5lb Tr Motorsport MT1 wheels from Tirerack. The wheels are actually for the '09 Acrua TSX because of the 79 hub bore. But the guy I spoke to at tirerack said they could ship it with the appropriate hub ring to fit on our speed3s (67.1).

wraped in 235/40 star specs

mutegi nuts... need center caps!

There is a bit of a gap, but I don't mind it that much... coilovers are next on the list though.. mud flaps too.

I was running those in my MS3 a while back, had to sell them for financial reasons but definitely one of the best wheels for the buck. Light yet strong and reasonably priced as well.

I too am running 18x8.5 +48 , but I went with 245/40s. I had to roll the rears on stock suspension.

I'm running 18x8.5 +48 with 235/40 on Yellows and Cobb Springs and have had zero issues. Haven't heard, felt, or seen any evidence of rubbing in the three weeks I've had them on. I probably will roll the rears in the near future just for piece of mind. But so far so good.

So no rolling or anything on the front or back with that size rim and offset?

I would say they will fit fine. I just don't like the extra wheel gap of the 234/40s. Once you lower the car you will probally still need to roll the rear. I would ro;l your rears and go with the 245/40s!!!

Sorry for the late response. Yea. No problems No rubbing. But like I said. I probably will be rolling the rears just to be safe. But so far... they are perfect.

The 245/40 has a little too much side wall for my liking... or at least how it appears in the picture above.

Here are the differences amongst stock size, OPs(235/40) and mine(245/40):

I like the 245's: softer ride, wider section, and fills in wheel gap.

Mmmmm meaty

235/40/18 has less than .1" less wheel gap than the stock 215/45/18.

yep, thats why i got em.

i probably didnt need to roll the rears though. there are 0 clearance issues in the rear with this offset and tire width.

the car shoulda came with this spec setup from the factory. I love it.
