Default 235/55r18 tires on 1gen speed 3

Hey I really need some help will 235/55r18 tires fit on my 1gen speed 3. I had 235/40r18 those were fine

I would probably do 225/45R18 on a gen1 wheel... I have a pu so what do I know? lol

235/55/18s are nearly 3" taller than 235/40/18s. They will also throw off your speedo by around 11% relative to 235/40/18s.

Thanks everyone for your help I accidentally bought the the 235 55 r18 so now I'm screwed madias said they won't fit. Haha anyone wants to buy some tires

But they also said the 235/40/r18 won't fit ethier wich ofcourse were good so I don't know if I shuld just have them go ahead and mount them

235/40/18 shouldn't be put on a 7" wide wheel.
So that's why they're saying those don't fit.

Just get higher performance tires with stickier tread compound in the stock size. Wider is not necessarily going to give you more traction, but will give you more unspring weight, which is not good. Spend a little more per tire and move up to good summer UHP, Max or Extreme grade.
