Default Hood blisters

I'm getting rust blisters along the front edge of my hood, right along one of the bends. I tried to grind one out, rust treat it, fill it and repaint the area. It looked pretty good for about a week then started rusting right back through the damned patch. Has anyone had any luck fixing these blisters, short of buying a whole new hood?

grinding it isn't going to fix rust. you gotta sand it out until ALL the rust is gone, then you fill it, prime it, and repaint it. if you don't get all the rust, that will happen again within a week or so.

Yeah, which is exactly what happened to me. I think the rust is coming through from the inside of hood somewhere. I'm just trying to figure out if it's possible to do anything about it that would be any cheaper than just buying a new hood.

I have these too. I also think water/moisture gets behind and under the bend on edge of hood.
